Reminded me of Alshon Jefferey.

Hope we don't see many like him the rest of the year. We didn't have much of an answer for him.

Edit..

Nvm. He only had 6 catches for 87yrds and 1 TD. But didnt he draw a few timely PI calls?

Watching the highlights this morning. Man, Baylor had lots of yards off slant passes.

Our LBs have zero clue how to cover. for some reason, the middle of the field is always wide the frick open against us

They’re either purposely not adjusting, can’t adjust, or just don’t care about what’s goin down in the middle.

Its a blessing in a way this happened. We could have started out the season with all cupcakes and waltzed into Norman thinking our shat dont stink, and be ripped to shreds.

Corch pointed this out in another thread, you have to jam him at the line of scrimmage and take the inside afterwards.....not play 10 yards off the line of scrimmage. You are a linebacker, act like it and pop him in the mouth at the line.

How many of those yards came after missed tackles?

It was one of the worst displays of tackling I've ever seen.

It was either on his TD or a play where he was targeted in the endzone, I cant remember, but he was lined up in the slot. We were obviously playing man and had a nickel lined up across from him. Trigg was standing on like the 6 and the nickel covering him was 2 yards in the endzone.

I will never understand that. You are handcuffing the coverage before the ball is even snapped.

I am fairly certain we recruited Trigg before he went to Southern Cal. Ole Miss fans thought he sucked because he wasn't physical enough.

When my SEC only fantasy league included the TE position Trigg was once finished second in TE rankings averaging like 5ppg while the number one Bowers averaged over 20.

Trigg should not be giving us that much of a fit out there.

He’s a perfect TE for the modern game. Very Jimmy Graham like. Flex him and you’re pretty sure to get a coverage mismatch.

Yeah, but it wasn't just missed tackles on him. That Kole Wilson dude would catch a slant and just spin move across the field before cutting up and getting 5-10 more yards. Tackling was pathetic.

Trigg is a match up nightmare for a lot of teams.

Lots of going for the hit stick and not grabbing cloth.

Luckily we only play one more combo as good as Sawyer and their wr.

It was also around 100 degrees on the field at kickoff. Believe some of our DBs had heavy legs.

I also expect the rotations to get tightened up over the next few weeks.

They? Is there a committee in charge of defensive adjustment?

It is maddening to watch a guy in position to make a wrap up tackle just flail armless at his legs.

Read that again with the voice of ice cube in your head.

It was funny to me at the time.
