Are y’all cool with the SEC and Big Ten excluding the rest of college football?

It’s only a matter of time before these two conferences break off and form an NFC/AFC model. If you’re not in either one of these leagues after the next round of expansion, you’re fricked. What’s holding it up now is the ACC grant of rights. Once the price tag becomes more reasonable to get out of the ACC, it’s all over.

The Big 12 and the remaining ACC teams will be irrelevant. This could mean that UGA and Georgia Tech no longer play their annual rivalry game. Which would suck, but all of this expansion shite sucks.

When this happens it will force Notre Dame to join a conference. The natural fit for them is the Big Ten. But I could also see them joining the SEC out of spite.

It's going to happen. It doesn't matter if we're cool with it or not.

I don't think they'll break off so much as absorb the viable cfb teams leaving everyone else in the cold

I'm not entirely sure. ESPN, Fox, CBS etc need a lot of football content to fill their timeslots during the fall. The more teams left out, the harder it is to fill all those slots with compelling games which draw eyeballs.

I don't think the TV companies really want the top tier to be limited to just SEC and Big 10.

I personally think the Big 10, ACC, and Big 12 need to shut the frick up about our conference. We don’t run to the media to put their conferences down.

I like it better than them denying 50% of college football real access to a playoff

I don’t care what the Big 12 and the ACC think of us. The lion does not concern himself with the opinions of the sheep.

No such thing as an afc nfc model, it’s an nfl model. What’s forming is an nfl afl scenario. You won’t need two chiefs to lead one tribe, especially if both chiefs want different things. Big sec will merge or one will eat the other

It’s inevitable, so I guess we might as well cut to the chase.

lol. No. The winner of the SEC will play the winner of the Big 10 for the College football Super Bowl. No other conferences will have access to the game.

The SEC and Big could not eat each other because each league currently has tremendously valuable college football brands. And after the next round of realignment, these conferences will possess all of the valuable brands.

Perhaps the new organization will allow 1 game outside of the P2.

The B1G will need to add the Irish if we miss out on the ACC teams.

Maybe. Maybe not. I don’t see them getting an invite to the Big Ten. They don’t create any value.

I do not believe the Big 12 teams will be left out in the cold. I do believe they'll continue to be marginalized. They will be able to come to Thanksgiving dinner, but they'll be sitting at the kids' table.

Well, I'm not.

But I do believe they'll be included in the postseason in some form, at least as a league as a whole. Likely with the have nots from the ACC once the SEC and Big 10 carve up that conference. Just pile all the can't get into the Big 10/SEC programs into one league and then give that conference limited access to the post season.
