I used to be part of one but it died a slow and painful death. There's still one dude that posts there and a few others that just read and like his posts.

I can't stand Nafoom as they seem to be more of the leftwing ilk of our fanbase and want to do all the wrong things with the team. They're just stupid

RedCupRebellion had a short window where it was funny and edgy, now it's just too Facebook-like for me. Someone makes a post and there's a bunch of dumb comments below.

So, this place has been kind of the last holdout and even this place seems to be slowing down. When's the last time someone new started a thread here? When is the last time we had a new poster join the site?

So, if you know of other places (non social media sites), please share.

There are none.

Which is fricking weird.

State can somehow support two in Pack and ED while we can muster about twelve people across Rant and Nafoom.

but yeah we don't really have any good team sites anymore. The Spirit was fine until the Nutt years where people decided to split into two groups and then shite on each other since then. Nafoom is a cesspool of dipshittery. My Dad still reads Rebel Grove but I'm not going to pay for that.

Nafoom is trash. Just a small group of posters, very snobby people.

ETA: TigerDroppings is serviceable plus you get all the other forums. Hard to beat.

Message boards have gone the way of the dinosaur. Social media apps have collected a lot of us which is unfortunate. I haven't been on here since prior to Covid but I came back because my schedule now allows it. I'm rather enjoying being back actually.

I was a long time OMSpirit member ($) going back into the 90s. Came over here in late 2000s and never looked back. All the other websites were inferior to OMSpirit, and this place had the benefit of all the other schools. I missed those practices reports that got my hopes up .

I am a member of enough FB groups as well around Ole Miss, do not feel I need another website.

Sixpack and Elite Dawgs are just built of OM hate to keep them going

I remember all the Coach34 drama back in the day and launching ED. That guy is a damn retard.

OM Spirit was ok back when Chuck had exclusive access to the program. He doesn't have much of any access now. Rivals was good when Dave was there but after he got replaced by Neal, that place sucked as well (Dave cared about Ole Miss and Mcready will tell you that he isn't a fan at all). Dave started his own board and had a ton of members but when Matt Luke took over, Dave threw in the towel and took a permanent vacation. I tried 247. It was a joke.

I like this place. It's great to interact with the other fan bases and they don't let too much shite garble up the site. This Ole Miss board seems to have posters that know what they are talking about. I prefer the message board format because you can have an actual discussion. Social media, people just like to post memes and argue about stupid shite. But even the SECRant board seems to move a lot slower than it used to.

RIP RcR. Place was awesome, but vox and Alex McDaniel killed that place.

It’s an extremely niche audience who posts on message boards anyway and as mentioned already social media absorbed a lot of that audience. Take into account the generation that made it big in the first place are now parents and grandparents so that takes away from it even further. Younger dudes aren’t joining message boards

Rivals, formerly Rebelgrove is a good board. Now if you want a homer take it isnt the board for you. The podcast are really good with MPW Digitial and the extra content like the Pete Deweese game film breakdown is top notch.

Neal and chase daily podcast is almost unlistenable anymore . They rarely discuss ole miss and with 30 minutes of ad reads.. the first segment is usually nonsense and wasting time.. then they’ll hit nba talk that nobody cares about and then they’ll discuss pop culture but it’s maddening because neither consume it so it’s pointless . It’s a lot of fast forwarding now.
