Confused as to how he managed to have Wisconsin as an annual contender, now I'm seeing analysts project Illinois in as a 11 seed.

Yet he was meh to bad at Arkansas? Is it moreso the school as opposed to the coach?

Kinda like 2 morons managed to win Titles at LSU after Saban.

Sam Pittman left and he was screwed. That meant Bert had to sober up and do his job which he was incapable of doing. Bert chose his lifestyle at Arkansas and it was entirely his fault. Maybe he’s grown up some now, good for him.

He was stuck in a cage with Bama LSU and Auburn.

Clark, did you see Paul Finebaum say this week that Deion Sanders interviewed for Arkansas, and he thought he had a chance, but those chose Sam? I didn’t even know that piece of tea until Paul dropped it.

Winning in the SEC is harder than winning in the b1g

The SEC has a lot more depth

Barry Alvarez built and sustained Wisconsin not Bert.

Bielema elevated them beyond anything Alvarez ever did. His 2010 and 2011 teams are the two best teams I think Wisconsin has ever had, and his 2012 team hung 70 on Nebraska in the conference title game.

Forget Bama, he was 0-5 vs A&M. If you can't beat a perpetual 8-4 team, you aren't going to be beating Bama.

Barry Alvarez won three Big 10 titles and three Rose Bowls.

Bert lost three consecutive Rose Bowls.

Yea, this is the real answer. And Auburn was pretty good during that span too. They dont have the same talent in arkansas as they do in the deep south.

He was more focused on Grandpa’s cough syrup than building a program.
