LSU's defense has been a complete embarrassment to the program

What used to be the pride of Tigers has turned into the biggest weakness and an embarrassment to the LSU brand. I remember watching LSU games and saying how amazing their defense was, how stifling their run game was and how their secondary was second to none.
Now they cant even break the top 10 in the SEC for scoring defense and its getting worse each year under Kelly.
2024 - ranked 14th in the SEC
2023 - ranked 13th in the SEC
2022 - ranked 5th in the SEC
2021 - ranked 10th in the SEC
Its time for LSU fans to admit Bryan Kelly was a colossal failure of a hire.
Now they cant even break the top 10 in the SEC for scoring defense and its getting worse each year under Kelly.

Agreed. We will see what our defense can do this year along with a new offensive line. Hopefully we don’t waste another Heisman quarterback season because the defense is not worth a flip.

I agree 100 on the defense. The lack of proper pursuit angles, lack of fundamental tackling, lack of pushing plays inside and letting the play go outside is extremely frustrating. I see it every game, regardless of opponent. There’s zero excuse for this. They are fundamental concepts taught since Pop Warner. A step in the right direction last season and it looks as if it’ll be better this season. We’ll see.
That being said, I would say BK is not a colossal failure. That’s dramatic and stupid. To be fair, I would say it’s been a little less than expected. I think he’ll be better this season. Again, we’ll see.

When you dig into the details it’s not odd at all. Lots of it Kelly’s fault when first hired and the defensive staff he put together & the LSU administration’s fault in being way behind in NIL collective and organizing a solid GM team.
LSU’s defense will be significantly better this year. You can take that to the bank.

Auburn only scored 18 points against the 2023 LSU defense. That alone should disqualify you from making threads on the matter.
ETA: Also, Auburn only scored 17 points against the 2022 team AND LSU scored a defensive touchdown that game so really you are the last person that should be talking about this

I guess So Carolina is a major embarrassment to the SEC since you’re 2-8 against Clemson in your last 10 meetings and Clemson holds an All-Time 73-44 record over SC.

Carolina played Clempson at their house the last game of last season and beat them. If lsu can't do the same you're an embarrassment
