This will be his 13th year in Lexington. He already got caught trying to leave for A&M only to have the offer yanked at the last second. The team seems to be trending down and the last season he had w/more than 7 wins he had to vacate all the wins.

2025 schedule w/Coaches Poll rankings from all teams receiving votes

08/30 - Toledo
09/06 - #15 Ole Miss
09/13 - Eastern Michigan

10/04 - at #3 Georgia
10/11 - bye
10/18 - #1 Texas

11/01 - at #32 Auburn
11/08 - #17 Florida
11/15 - Tennessee Tech

Depends on how many packs he smokes, and if they are filtered.

No doubt in my mind that he will continue to coach at Kentucky. No doubt

But I was told that Kentucky fans shouldn't have expectations and we should just accept this as status quo.

Your AD won’t fire Stoops, even if he wins 4 games this season. Kentucky fans have no control over that.

Are you saying Kentucky’s administration (not fans) would be willing to fire him? He’s tenured there. Can’t ever see it happen.

If Stoops manages to pull out all winning season, there is gonna be alot of crow served on this board. A surprising amount since many pretend UK dont play da football

All Mark Stoops has to do to keep cashing that elite coaching check every week is to match his best work that convinced Kentucky to overpay to begin with. In other words, be the best of what Stoops has already offered. Remains to be seen if he's that motivated any longer.

He doesn’t want to because of the buyout. But it wouldn’t be the first time fans forced his hand (this is how Joker Phillips got fired).

If he wins 6 games. If not, he will be fired.

He has a decently large buyout(I looked it up) so unless the wheels completely fall out they will not do anything. I think he is the coach next year.

It would take a big unanimous fan outrage movement to get him out imo.

Schools play with monopoly money, that should be obvious by now to everyone.

Depends on his buyout. He makes over $9,000,000 per year.

Just looked it up if correct.... Kentucky would owe him 37.5 million if they fired him after this season. Ouch, I would say he is safe.
