No surprise that LM8 is considered the top dog.

I think Caden Durham will finish the year higher on that list. He’s absolutely electric.

Sec Mike, seems like it’s official.

I am a big fan of Baugh..hope he continues to thrive

Jaden Baugh is the 2nd best back in his own backfield so UF is loaded.

How much Baugh gets will depend on how the carries are divided up. I do think Baugh is our clear # 1 back now though so maybe he gets over a 1000 yards. I don't think we have had one reach 1000 yards for about a decade now.

Arkansas has had a solid running game but lately it’s been generally by committee so no one back gets big stats enough to break into the top group. I believe we’re in good shape again this year.

The same reason this might end up true is same reason you’ll never win, you can’t throw.

He is very good. But…
LSU’s season hinges on the 4 new starting offensive linemen. Brian Kelly, or his offensive coordinator, doesn’t put an emphasis on run blocking. It is all about pass pro. Durham is better than his stats will show.
ETA: he will have very good receiving numbers.

Who will be Auburn’s RB? I have no idea.
Jarquez Hunter was criminally misused last year. He may have been the best back in the SEC. At worst top 3. I don’t think he ever touched the ball in the last five minutes of a game on the line last year.
Had Freeze just fed him the ball Auburn would have won two more games last year.

He touched the ball a lot in the last 5 minutes vs A&M.
2 carries in the last 5 minutes vs Oklahoma.
Which game are you referring to?

They beat Texas A&M. Because they just handed the ball to Hunter. Cal, Oklahoma and Missouri Freeze lost.
The last five minutes.
Missouri: 5 Thorne passes, 0 Hunter touches
Cal: 3 Thorne passes (2 interceptions), 0 Hunter touches
OU: 9 Thorne passes (1 pick six), 2 Hunter touches

I am sure your hyper autistic arse will correct me that thorne had one more or one less pass attempt.

For Missouri, the only plays within 5 minutes are a 3rd and 13 then they get the ball back at their 25 with 41 seconds remaining, down by 4.
Can't blame them for not running there really.
For Cal, they're down by a touchdown with 2:37 remaining at their 20. I guess they could technically run the ball there but I don't know if anyone is really pounding the rock repeatedly in that situation.
For Oklahoma, they were running the ball and driving down the field (2 carries by Thorne, 2 by Hunter, 1 by Alston) until Thorne throws a pick on 3rd & 4.
Hunter gets two more carries on the ensuing drive but they elect to throw on 3rd and 5 and Thorne is sacked.
By the time they get the ball back, they have to throw.
I don't think Mizzou changes either way and doubt Cal does, trailing with 2 minutes remaining, you're going to have to throw.
Oklahoma is debatable.

Vols will do RB by committee with 3 guys getting the bulk of the reps. Lewis and Bishop with either Thomas or one of the freshmen getting the rest

Serious question? Why is the only returning 1000 yard rusher not number one?
