“On Friday, the official X account of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the game will be held, revealed that tickets will go on sale on Aug 8., and instead called it the 'Inaugural Invesco QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic,'which is a new college football series announced on July 4.”

I will never refer to it as anything but “clean, ol’ fashioned hate.” Same as UF-UGA will always be “the world’s largest outdoor cocktail party.”
I wish people cared enough to raise enough hell to make it clear how stupid we find this corporate naming shite show.

I’m sure most college football fans are like me, who cares about a one sided rivalry no one cares about. I bet most people didn’t even know the name of the rivalry.

After reading the hype, it appears that this rivalry will be replaced by the Georgia - Florida game, while the stadium in JAX is being upgraded.
Not sure what other programs will support this location.
Perhaps Tennessee since they haven't been to an SECCG for quite some time.

I'm curious what you saw from the entire season, week 1 through the end, that would qualify tech as the "better team". They were quite objectively not better than UGA in football last year.

It’s not changing from COFH. This is just a new game that will be played annually and happens to be COFH. AMB Sports and Entertainment is starting a new classic and offered a pile of cash to move it off campus. I think both Georgia and GT get $10mil for the game and GT gets additional considerations since it is technically a home game.
