My disclaimers: Yeah, I know Arch got scared by the Georgia D last year, and he is still unproven on the big stage.
But for otherwise kinda boring offseason discussion purposes, hear Joel Klatt out in this short video clip. How do you think your own team’s D coordinator will prep for Arch and the Horns’ offense this year? Does Arch potentially bring more to the table than Quinn Ewers??

I don't think he's going to suck, but all of this hype is starting to sound like '06 Brady Quinn.

Agree about the hype, which makes opponents even more happy to see Arch stumble… given Arch’s famous football family, this is the most hype for any new starting college QB I have seen in my lifetime. A lot of expectations for a young kid to manage.
But hype sells big game advertising and sports media advertising everywhere which makes CEOs richer … thus the Arch hype is only just getting started…

I hope Sark buys into his arm to the extent of forgetting his running game. It's so tempting to do what's easy and stop pounding the rock. Especially when the shorthorns are trying to rebuild chemistry along the LOS. It's happened to a lot of OCs. Let's see if Sarkisian remembers 2020.

Good comparison. Quinn had a pretty good year if I remember correctly. I’m not rooting against Arch, but I still haven’t seen him do anything at any level that screamed first round pick. Very interested in how this season goes for him.

Arch is a good runner, better than average passer and has NFL potential….
But that is all we know…..
Let’s see if he can handle being #1 and the target in every game…..
And lets see him when he is more than a few plays at a time…..

To be fair Arch is handling all of this like a pro. The writers can’t help themselves because they know any story with him will get clicks
Arch said in an interview last week he laughs about the preseason hype and said it’s ridiculous because he hasn’t done anything and doesn’t deserve to be on any preseason award list.
I know a lot of people don’t like him but he’s a good kid from a good family

Quinn was a first round draft pick right after that season.

Anthony Richardson was a first round draft pick. NFL front office making dumb decisions does not automatically mean a QB was good

Watching Trevor Lawrence throw exactly 0 TDs in a National Title game was a lot of fun.

Who cares? He ran 20.7mph last year on a 70 yard run, that’s incredible for his size. 4.60-4.7 is more than enough for a pro style passer.
