Your realistic expectations this season?

Also, what would it take to get Stoops fired? All I hear about is that the buyout is insane. Also, isn't it written into his contract that if he wins more than 6 or 7 games he gets another year on the contract or similar? Kinda fricked if you ask me.

50 new players, 26 from the portal. I’m not venturing a guess.

Seriously doubt Stoops is going anywhere because of the aforementioned buyout. Not sure about the contract details.

So, basically I’m no help at all.

Music City Bowl or bust. Seriously though, I'm hoping for 7-5

Another season like last season or worse. Even then buyout is high because of-

I may be misremembering but iirc if he makes a bowl game or 7 wins he gets an extension. And to be fair I feel like that's not that insane considering the goal was to ensure we got a coach who would take us to bowls consistenly rather than circling the drain like what happened with Joker. We aint winning a natty any time soon. Ill take bowl appearances over nothing.

I’m just going to watch your season to see how Calzada does. I don’t know if he will beat out the freshman y’all had last year playing behind Brock.

If he doesn't make a bowl, he will be fired. Sumrall isn't waiting another year.

With that said, I think they got 6-6. I do think this team will be better than last year, but they can't lose a game to a team they shouldnt.

Kentucky fans are just like every fan base in the SEC ,the grass is always greener with a new coach. How has that worked for AU,FLA,A@M,the last 10-15 years .Stoops isn’t a great personality but he is a good coach and has been very successful .Don’t think if you get Sumrall he will stay their if he wins,he will be out of there in a flash.

Like others have said this is a whole new team. We don’t know what we will see but I am not optimistic. Bush Hamdan has shown nothing here.

I’d say another 4-8 season. But a smidge more competitive.

What does it take to get rid of Stoops?

A fan boycott. Just like it did to get rid of Joker.

Stoops is better than Joker so I hope he catches lightning in a bottle like Indiana did last year.

I like Coach Stoops and I’m thankful for the job he’s done at UK. It’s been fun. I think he’s trying to flip the script from last year by restocking from the portal. If it doesn’t work, I think he’ll exit gracefully. UK has made him rich and he’s made a lot of close friends.

Kentucky football historically ...

Always loses a game they should win
Even the worst teams would upset another teams shot at a Natty
Historic rivals mattered (not talking about LooserVille either)

+ Stoops = OH and FL recruiting
+ Stoops = Solid pre season conditioning
+ Stoops = Pre game prep

- Stoops = Deer in Headlight in game coaching
- Stoops = Not an Elite school in football so 3 stars must shine, hard to do

NIL and SEC expansion to 16 makes the landscape harder but maybe good if UK can take prima donna's elsewhere and give them a place to mature and get better with less attitude.

UK is generally at their best when playing with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove.

I am really hoping he kicks arse for Tulane this year... Don't wanna see him leave the Green Wave but if he does at least Tulane is a desireable spot for a coach right now.

Stoops biggest fraud in sec history. 12 years 0 sec titles 0 divisional 0 major bowl wins. 34-62 sec record. Besides Vandy who would put up this joke? All while raking in $80 mil. ?????

They are picked to win the MAC. We are picked at or near the bottom of the SEC.

I remember some SEC team that was beaten by Georgia State.
