OT: Who is the crazy woman screaming in front of Toomer’s?

Her name is Ruth. She’s been out there everytime I’ve been to Auburn for the past two years.

My little brother (class of 25) says she’s out there 4-5 days a week.

Holy Crap!!

I used to LOVE when Brother Jed & Sister Sally would set up shop at the Eagle’s Nest and rain down their unique form of fire/brimstone prophesying and “damning our souls” individually on a one-on-one basis.

Rember that move?…the one when Jed was finally sufficiently pissed enough at someone’s taunting & “blasphemy” that he would make this huge dramatic gesture by swinging his arm making making a WIDE sweeping invisible “ X “ and then emphatically point like he’s trying to shoot a lightning bolt of Godly righteousness with his index finger?

…yeah

…I was on the receiving end of MANY of those hexes personally delivered by Brother Jed. I may not be the all-time record holder of “damnation hexes” delivered from Brother Jed?…it’s probably a close call… however, I’m EASILY in his “Heathen-Hex” top 5.

We had a crew roll in from somewhere the spring of 2011 doing the same. I remember one guy saying after the NC that we all got drunk and then went home and masturbated. I was really confused how he saw into my window that night with the blinds shut.

Also watched the biggest flamer I ever saw at Auburn proceed to rebuke them and then lead a prayer circle around them. How the turn tables.

I saw her when we went up for the Super Regional. It’s awful. Why can’t that do anything about it?

It was sort of a SNL skit at some level. People would join in when Jed would get lathered up and join their voices with Jed in the crescendo of “and you will burn in the lake of fire!”

I doubt they ever had anyone ask them for a follow up visit. They literally would spend the entire week screaming at anyone who walked by that they were a “whore” or a “fornicator”.

I doubt they converted one soul.
Seemed more like a delusion than a sermon.

It was entertaining.

All kinds of people in the crowd. Most just there for laughs. Some Christians did not like her confrontational style.
She called every girl a “whore” and every guy a “whoremonger.”

Some of the best jokesters would play along. She’d say “fornicator”; some guy would say “even when I’m by myself?”
