The records show that nearly two-thirds of the money in 2024 went to football players and about a fourth to men’s basketball.
The remainder (8%) was split among baseball, women’s basketball and lower-profile programs.

Missouri spent 20 mil in nil on football last yr?
That would be 2/3rds.

Money well spent. Aggies wouldn't know what that looks like.

I guess Mizzou fans are happy with winning mid major bowls and losing in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

It's comical to see an aggie make a $$$-wasted thread. Jimbo's self-awareness must be in the shop.

Trolling doesn't work well when you get your facts wrong.

That's a lot of money to spend on wins over UMASS and Murray State.

How much is Mizzou spending on the farrot field expansion ? That project should be just about completed, right?

So is that section going to be closed off for upcoming season? … and not reopen until 2026?

What they don’t capture is deals with third parties — such as wide receiver Luther Burden III’s ad campaign with clothing brand Nautica or men’s basketball guard Caleb Grill’s TV commercial for a Columbia law firm — because they’re independently arranged.
I feel like it should be all 3rd party or personally acquired. that returns amateurism to some extent and makes the kids learn business and entrepreneurship. Like let Tyrelle Pryor sell his shoes on eBay like anyone else in the world can. but don't give him 20 million before he's proven anything.
That also doesn't necessarily give a direct edge to the bigger/richer schools.

Anyone who shows up with a hardhat and a note from OSHA gets to sit on the I beams.

You bet! That’s what college sports are all about. I’ve never seen Mizzou fans get bent out of shape about a loss unless it’s to Kansas. Win or lose, still booze.

Pretty sure I saw a Mizzy fan or two get pretty well bent after that LSU game @ their very intimidating stadium.
A few even decide to pull out their aggy/horn-taught lexicon of sexual innuendo insults, when arguments require intellect.
Fact.
