LSU baseball has changed

One thing I always appreciated about LSU baseball was there always seemed to be some bad arse from Houma or anywhere inside the boot, but now it’s not like that. Their best hitter is from Georgia, best pitcher is from California, lead off stud is from Compton. I guess the coach is being the west coast to their school since he’s from Arizona.

I thought about this for Arkansas when they had a Hawaiian, a Canadian, and an Australian in the lineup

I’m not saying there are a couple but there 7 of 9 batters are from out of state. Yes the pitcher is from La, but the next top 3 are from Cali or the west coast. Not a troll, just saying where’s the typical Third baseman from last year?

That's just this specific lineup, both Pearsons are from Louisiana and they get in it at times.

LSU has been a national program for quite a long time. Solid base of LA kids and some out of state recruits.

Yes and now some In State kids and a ton of out of state. It’s 10-1 out of state. It’s just not normal for LSU

Portal has certainly impacted the roster, but it also has some home state kids coming to LSU after starting out elsewhere, such as next year’s third baseman.

There are 40 players on the 2025 roster and something like 15 are from Louisiana.
That's a little over a third of the roster, another third is from Texas, the last third are sprinkled in nationally.

The discipline in that program should be missed the most. Wearing different colors than your actual team colors is a clown show. Not to mention the earrings on 2nd base sparkling under the lights.
