Realisticly who's back and who's gone. I thought it was odd that Helfrick and Gaeckle said they would miss playing with Davalon. Is he draft eligible?
Someone that has analyzed the roster please give a rundown.

Yes, Davalan is already 21 so he is gone.Out of the position p players that played we should get JT back, then Souza, Kuhio, Ryder, and Cam. Rumor is that Fraser may transfer and Iredale’s stock may have tanked enough that he comes back, but I doubt it. Pitchers that played this year that should be back are Gibbler , Coil, Gack, Eaves, McGuire, and Fisher.

Thats off the top of my head so I may have missed someone.

The Wiggins injury sucked at the time, but it's even worse now in hindsight. We REALLY could have used him.

Gonna lose a lot…off the top of my head returners…

Kozeal
Souza
K.Aloy
Helfrick
Gaeckle
Gibler
Robinette
Dietz
Fraser

Maybe
Thomas Jr. (the added JUCO eligibility rule)
Iredale (small chance he comes back)
Jimenez (draft eligible)
Foutch (draft eligible)

Losses
Wood
Cheese
Root
W. Aloy
Davalan
Boles
Maxwell
Wiggins (surgery likely means he doesn’t pitch again as Hog)

I’d say a lot of those maybes are gone. Iredale likely gets drafted top 10 rounds. JT could come back if not in top 10 rounds and the JUCo waiver works giving him another year of leverage for draft.

Basically there’s a very good chance Hogs are replacing entire outfield, left side of infield, and lots of pitching.

Yes, it’s going to be an hell of a roster turnover.

It absolutely did but, do you really think DVH would've used him in the ninth when it was obvious af that Gibler was struggling?

He had a bullpen full of pitchers but made that decision and to top it off pitched to Bear.

I don't think so, I think DVH gets rattled in high leverage situations and his teams see it and panic.

It’s criminal that he didn’t use Carter or coil any in Omaha and ran out guys on short rest. Both have era’s in the 2 range.

“You just don’t understand baseball” - all DVH apologists who enjoy cleaning the shite off the bed with their tongues every time we continually shite the bed. A coach’s job is to WIN, doesn’t matter what the stakes are. Bottom line is that we have a bunch of sad kids and fans, and empty trophy case, and too many people being just dandy about it. I’ll post again in football season when we do something extra stupid.

Wild take for a guy that pitched well enough to record 6 fricking outs in the inning. He walked 1 batter and gave up solid contact one time. Not a hit mind you, just solid contact

“It’s totally random bro why does this keep happening to us??” I love DVH for what he’s done for the program but people are so afraid to admit he might have something to do with his teams routinely panicking in pressure situations.

Well, Hog fans don't get good games anymore, we might as well get some good talks.

DVH should get a couple of jelly shots before the game and again at the 7th inning stretch.

We're in an odd spot, because he's gotten us to the CWS eight times, and he took the heights Norm reached and made it a more consistent standard. So it feels weird to criticize him for failing in the CWS when we're only there because of him. He's just barely reaching the standards that he himself set, but he is reaching them, and we're all acting like he's not.

Getting to the CWS honestly satisfies me in almost every way. You can't expect a title every year. And LSU would have likely beat us today anyway, but watching a rightful title go away due to the 2018 debacle, or watching the Aloy mistake that would have won us the game yesterday - along with the objective mismanagement of the pitching staff... It almost feels like there's a vested interest if we lose or some shite. Do you guys remember losing the first game to Ole Miss in 2022? It was a similar situation as yesterday with pitching mismanagement.

I don't know what it is, but it happens enough that it's clearly a him thing. And then getting eliminated in Fayetteville in 2021, 2023, and 2024... One of those three is "baseball." One of those three sucks, but is acceptable. But it happening three times in four years? Once with possibly the best team we've ever had? Come on.

There's something up and it's not getting better. Regardless of what he's done, when it's apparent that there's no hope of it getting better, then you have to make a change. The human lifespan isn't long enough for us to watch eight conference opponents somehow win national championships - most of them with far less fan support, in a smaller park that they don't even fill - while we become a laughingstock. It's a trend and it's getting old. And half of them did it with nobody coaches with no experience before getting hired. The "who would we even hire?" question doesn't hold the same weight in baseball as it does in football. And even if it did, Texas stole Schloss, MSU just stole O'Connor. If they can do it, we can do it in spades. Arkansas should expect to compete at a far higher level in basketball and baseball.

This.

Plus as much as we’re having the Arkansas self loath, blame somebody because many of our fans are miserable people, the truth is DVH has been getting even better in recruiting with the portal over the past few years.

Last night sucked and I’m like Drewbie, I feel like it’s probably not going to happen. But next year we’ll have another great chance at a national seed.
