Just came across this today.
Syracuse, ETSU, UAB, and New Mexico State.
Really?

Still has Alabama Georgia ou and Fla.
Today’s logic says this is smart. Win 10 and possibly nine, and you’re in.

This, and i think we had some big 10 schools scheduled that cancelled after they absorbed the pac 12 schools. As long as we play in the SEC im not going to feel bad about our schedule.

They're in the same boat as us. Why would you schedule tough OOC games when you have to play Georgia and Alabama every single year?

Meanwhile Florida has Miami, FSU, Texas, LSU, A&M, Ole Miss, Georgia and Vols.

I respect it.
But it’s not good if you go 8-4. LSU in same boat.

They may get bowl eligibility.

Idk maybe because you have pride

I'd rather have wins. Scheduling Miami didn't work out so well for you guys.

You’re not getting extra credit for a hard schedule if you lose 4 of those. The committee has already made that clear. An AD’s job is to get to the playoffs, not earn street cred by scheduling more hard games so fans can win arguments online

Who knows how good we will be this year?
I’m feeling 8-4 but hopefully we get 9 to 10 .
Our D should be solid my question mark is the Offense.

And y'all SEC people saying Texas schedule is bad. At least we play one marquee opponent every year in nonconfere the scheduling we can control (this year we go to Ohio State).
Tennessee that's pathetic although I acknowledge if the CFP committee isn't going to knock them for their weak non-con it may not be a bad idea in the end, you just screw your fans with a terrible OOC product

Love that you included the juggernaut that is FSU in this. Also, Syracuse beat Miami last year when Miami had the number 1 overall pick in the draft at QB. And on top of both of those things you included that Florida is playing the Vols, as if UT could play themselves.

Yes in a world where W-L record is literally the only thing that matters, it seems fairly pointless to schedule some major OOC games for no benefit.
The fact that they’re neutral site is even worse, I don’t give a frick about OOC matchups that aren’t home and home
