“ I picked them in February and I’m sticking with it. It’s LSUs year to win it all again”

You’d have to be a fool to bet against a hot LSU team right now.

I like Delluci, but he is from Baton Rouge. He is a council member for St. George (formerly Baton Rouge).

I'd argue Arkansas is hotter, and from what I've seen as an LSU fan this team isn't consistent and needs perfect outings from their starters against high level teams.

I think this is Arkansas' year, but I'll be rooting for the Tigers.

Delucci is married to former Price is Right model Rachael Reynolds (Former LSU track athlete). Living the good life.

Are they hot? Or have they just had an insanely fortunate NCAA Tournament draw thus far?

#205 Little Rock- WIN
#24 Dallas Baptist- WIN
#205 Little Rock- LOSS
#205 Little Rock- WIN
#27 W Virginia- WIN
#27 W Virginia- WIN

I’m not sure any team has ever had such a cakewalk to Omaha.

To put it in perspective, here are all 8 CWS teams ranked by average RPI of their NCAA Tournament opponents thus far:

21.9- Murray State (7 games, 5-2)
37.0- Oregon State (8 games, 6-2)
38.2- Coastal Carolina (5 games, 5-0)
39.2- Louisville (6 games, 5-1)
40.7- Arizona (6 games, 5-1)
42.0- UCLA (5 games, 5-0)
47.6- Arkansas (5 games, 5-0)
115.5- LSU (6 games, 5-1)

Put another way… NCAA Tourney games played so far against opponents ranked in the Top 20:

4- Oregon State
3- Arizona, Murray St.
2- Arkansas, Coastal, UCLA
1- Louisville
0- LSU

Hope he is right. I’ve got $100 on LSU at +1400 before season

You obviously didn’t look at anything Little Rock was doing when they arrived. It’s okay, we didn’t either. But let me tell you, they were as hot as any team out there until the pitching was completely out of gas. They played crazy good ball

To put it another way, when you play well during the regular season you are going to be matched with lesser teams in the postseason. Guess that’s why Ark and LSU are last in level of competition in the postseason. Who could have imagined it would work out like this?

Maybe we should have had a higher RPI, like Auburn, so we could have enjoyed the fruits of being a higher national seed.

Cry Bitch! You got your higher national seed and couldn’t capitalize on it.

This doesn't have anything to do with his post other than to make you feel better, I guess.

Define high-level teams. LSU has run ruled Tennessee and Arkansas. They also beat Texas 8-2. Is pitching the strongest part of the team? Yes. But that doesn't mean they have to have perfect to outings to beat good teams. They just smoked WVU twice with subpar performances from both Eyanson and Anderson. Regardless, Omaha is a pitcher's park.

I guess you missed his little rant that went on for 20 pages about LSU.

This is a fair point I didn't remember the run ruling....

however I wouldn't consider WVU a juggernaut offensively and both the wins they got against them they had more runs than hits not exactly an offensive explosion more of WVU gifting them runs.
