The woman is Alanna Smith.

She runs the 200M and 400M at University of Tennessee.

Smith filed a federal lawsuit against the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference and other defendants in February 2020. The lawsuit challenged the state’s policy allowing transgender athletes to compete in girls’ sports.

I wouldn't go that far.

I considered it though.

Glad there is a movement for this other than social media back and forth.

I feel like the only people who are on the other side are either A) not competitive B) have never played organized sports C) do not have a daughter or D) are so far woke anything pushed as trans they are all in on.

Like everything in life its easy to for many to support an issue that does not directly impact them. I for one will never let others take away my daughters right to compete fairly without a fight and I hope I never have to.

If anyone ever wonders if we are living in a morally bankrupt society, wonder no more. Only perversion and moral decay can keep people from understanding the difference between men and women.

Most polls indicate about 75% of Americans think trans athletes should not be competing with women in sports. I don't know who the 25% are but they must be idiots are caching their response in some manner that makes sense to them. Who knows.

The thing is is it is almost non-existent to begin with. There are about 500,000 athletes in college sports in the US. .002% of them are trans people and not all of them are participating in a sport against people other than their assigned gender at birth. There have been somewhere in the neighborhood of 5000 medals awarded at the Olympics since steps were initiated to limit the participation of trans women in women sports and only a handfull of those went to trans athletes...maybe as few as one by some reporting. It just doesnt happen because it is fricking insane and only a very tiny number of athletes would want to win anything in the manner so many think trans women dream of doing.

By all means pass a zillion laws prohibiting something that simply does not happen on any scale and is likely to happen even less as the stigma attached to the idea becomes more prevalent.

What is the gist of what y'all think is going to happen? A widespread dominance of women's sports by men wearing bras???? Why on earth would they do so on any kind of meaningful scale? What would be the point....they will be known as man who beat up on a bunch of girls LOL. It just isn't happening. I know many of you believe it is and there are a lot of stories about it BUT relative to the number of people competing it is a tiny, miniscule number. It shouldnt happen at all and thankfully it doesn't happen very often.

Finally having a physical advantage is kind of the idea behind sports and competition. I am 5 foot 9 inches tall and have never played a minute in the NBA because NBA players have a significant physical advantage over me. Is that unfair???? Of course it ain't...were someone to make that point they'd be laughed out of the arena faster than a man dominating the WNBA...which a LOT of men talk about like they would enjoy seeing by the way....its is a non issue that some of us are just ate up with for some strange reason....

I'm happy to see so much support for the women's sports I've been supporting for years. Keep up the good work.

It happens more than you think. I coach a women’s HS team and we ran into one at a tournament last summer. HE dominated the field and we missed the playoffs after losing to HIS team by one goal in a game that HE scored three goals.

It only takes one to sour a group of girls. They aren’t as good as the guys - no one expects them to be. They need to be the best GIRL they can be. If they lose fair and square - they can take that. Putting a headband on a boy so he get some sense of victory while he struggles with his gender identity is BS.

I read your post but I am not following your logic.

1) You are correct the overwhelming majority of Americans appear to be for men and woman having separate sports as assigned gender at birth.

2) You do not need to pass a "zillion" laws to protect this situation from happening.

3) While I agree it is not at scale at the moment it you are not taking into account the many women who are impacted by even a small % of trans athletes that are participating in female sports. You also are taking nothing into account woman feeling uncomfortable / unsafe changing and being around a man in a locker room setting.

4) I do not want 1 transgender person playing in female sports, period. Your argument that "its almost non-existent to begin with" further proves my point of why are certain parts of our country allowing this given its such a small percentage of trans athletes attempting this? Its political is why regardless of a majority (even in large blue areas) not agreeing with trans men in female sports.

5) Your physical advantage point makes no sense? Men do have physical advantages which is well documented. Its the same logic as I as an adult can not signup to play a sport against an 8 year old. Very clear physical advantages for me against a child. You comparing another man who is larger or more athletic than you to a trans man competing in female sports is apples and oranges.

Unless Alanna wins a gold medal every single time she competes, TT9 will say she is a grifter and has no right to speak out on this issue.

What is your point? That because it's rare, no action should be taken? Murder is statistically very rare. By your logic we should just clear the books of murder statutes. Unarmed black men getting killed by white cops is so statistically rare as to be almost non-existent. Somehow, I doubt you were thumping the tub against all the leftist/BLM violence during the Summer of Floyd.

Yes, it's rare. It's also an issue that highlights the values of a society. It speaks to who we are as a people. The vast majority of our country is opposed to the evil of the transgender movement and how it, at its core, is anti-female.

This is the argument against anti-slavery laws. Slavery was going to end naturally due to innovation, so why would we need laws ending it?

In short, you think wrong.

Are you comparing this to what was, in effect, genocide? You comprehend how many people died in the Atlantic Slave Trade and in the South, right?
