If your starter goes down will you be in good shape?
Oklahoma
Back up is Michael Hawkins. True freshman last year that started a few games after Jackson Arnold got benched. Think we would be alright.

We have a guy with 10 SEC starts so I don’t mind it!

Kromenhoek and Taylor, our QB room is one of the few bright spots on our team.

Our backup would start at 5 or more SEC schools. LSU is QBU

Every year at State the backup quarterback is the best player on the team.

Maybe best in the SEC. Starting is obviously Lanorris, but Air Noland as the backup provides a really good fit if Lanorris goes down. They play very similar.
Cutter being third string is fine with me, the dude showed out in the spring

Air Noland was a great pickup for you guys. He will be fine if asked to take over.

Our backup has a part time job to help pay Jimbo’s buyout so not sure if he gets many reps.

You saw our Ivy Leaguer backup shred Georgia and Texas last year in 34-20 and 49-17 losses, so you'd better believe we feel good even if Lagway goes down

So a RS Fr who didn't look great in his limited time as a freshman and a true freshman that hasn't played a snap is a bright spot? Behind a QB who has never completed a full season?

I'm not even sure what the starting situation is like.

Sorry bro until you have 4 Heisman winning quarterbacks OU is QBU.

Compared to the rest of the team, yes the QB room has to be considered better. Our defense last year was one of the worst in the history of organized football. So compared to that, yes.

This is the SEC. Best not to lose your starting QB if you have Playoff aspirations. Can I get an Amen Dawgs?
If you don't have Playoff ambitions, why would it matter?

I agree thinking about backups mean thinking about lost seasons for most teams

A backup capable of winning a couple of games while a starter is out is about the most you should hope for.

Do you think he could play safety for you?

We’ve got 38 quarterbacks…not sure who will be listed #2 behind Simmons, but there’s no shortage of suitors.

Bama hasn't even picked a starter yet, so backup is even less clear. Simpson is leading at the moment. Things can change.
