Spent quite a bit of time watching college baseball this weekend,” Jones wrote on Twitter. “I will only watch a select few teams from here on out. Reason? They have coaches that respect the game and their opponents and demand the same of their players.”

“Any team that doesn’t wear the uni correctly, taunts the other team, and has a coach that condones this behavior, is a disgrace to the game,” Chipper Jones said.

He was obviously watching Georgia get knocked out.

That's hilarious considering Chipper was built for a Tony V team. Did no one here watch the braves in the 90s?

He embodies the Tony V attitude and spirit.

Random Factoids: Chipper Jones accepted a scholarship offer to play college baseball at the University of Miami, but he did not attend. Miami also recruited him to play football.

He was drafted #1 overall by the Atlanta Braves in the 1990 MLB Draft directly out of The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida. He played his freshman year at T. DeWitt Taylor High School before transferring to Bolles.

Chipper played on the back end of a baseball culture that no longer exists. So a lot of the "stuff" that he sees going on in the game today was simply non-existent and not allowed. I've listened to podcasts of players from the 80's, 90's and early 00's, and they sound just like Chipper. They're not used to the new baseball culture.

I actually did not know that.

Bolles is also where Mac Jones went.

Yep, Bobby Cox was as old school as it gets. Had a dress code for on and off the field. I'm guessing he wouldn't be too popular today.

Yeah, I stopped watching baseball decades ago, but the same applies for the NBA.

A lot of the old-school guys like Charles Barkley vocally dislike the current league.

Imagine a team like the Bill Laimbeer-era Detroit Pistons existing today, and how much more entertaining it would actually be.

Shaq recently caught heat bc he said LeBron wouldn’t have the career longevity he has had if he played through the 80s and early 90s.

I watched the Braves when they had Ryan Klesko, Jeff Blauser, Walt Weiss and David Justice. Does that count?

As a Braves fan I'll always love Chipper the player.... but the dude thinks he has about 75 more IQ points than he actually has

He's right, the hand-checking rule killed basketball.

LINK (sorry, it's a TikTok video)

There's no reason why an NBA game should end 150–145.
