Tennessee took the wrong route. The Nebraska Route.

Alabama won 31 more games, on the field, that some suit in an ncaa office decided they should forfeit because Antonio Langham signed a napkin for a street agent in the aftermath of the national title vs Miami.
edit to note that some of those 31 games may be for the fact that players didn't turn books back in during the Shula era. I would have to review that.
And now we have straight up pay for play for millions of dollars.

LSU would be at 853. Had to give up 38 games due to Les Miles

I don't remember the exact numbers but Ole Miss and LSU have vacated/forfeited the most wins of any program.

That may be so, but I am pretty sure that poster is being facetious, implying Les Miles was a poor coach, yet they will boast about his national title.
I searched google. 21 of Alabama's win were vacated because of the books. 8 more wins were forfeited because of the Langham napkin, so 29 total, not 31, plus one tie game.

The most shocking things of all in this graphic are Syracuse at #12 and Army at #13 in the 2000 chart.

He wasn't a great coach. He recruited well, but was stuck in 1968. The previous comment was directed at Miles and all his outside bullshite that cost us to forfeit victories.

"Louisiana has a heritage of great players that play their high school football within the boundaries of Louisiana."
"When I wake up in the morning and I turn that film on, it's like reading a book and it's exciting. I don't read books, but if I read books it would be like reading a book."
He had the best quotes.

This conference wants Les Miles on that wall. It needs Les Miles on that wall.

For a former offensive lineman, he was absolutely terrible at recruiting offensive tackles. He basically had 4 guards and a center most years because he wanted run blockers and pass blocking was an afterthought. He had the following OL drafted:
Herman Johnson 5th round (G)
Joe Braksdale 3rd Round (T)
La'el Collins (G yeah he played Tackle at LSU a bit but that was out of necessity. he was a guard) (weird situation with him not being drafted but was in line for top 10)
Vadal Alexander 7th Round (G)
Trai Turner 3rd Round (G)
Jerald Hawkins 4th Round (T)
Ethan Pocic 2nd Round (C)
Will Clapp 7th Round (C)
Lloyd Cushenberry 3rd Round (C)
I may have missed one but that seems like every offensive lineman drafted out of LSU during his 11 seasons. Didn't average a OL per season and only 2 true Tackles. Big key to why he couldn't get out of the 60s.

He didn't miss it by much, looked it up the number is 37 under Miles. Ole miss is sitting at 33. From 2012-2016, the only Magnolia Bowl that even counts is 2015.

Finally, LSU is number one at something!
But seriously, how in the hell is SMU only 10th on this list?

True story: You could make a good argument that he's the greatest coach in LSU history if you base it solely on what coaches did at LSU.
He might be the best argument.
