Whichever one survives that side of the bracket. Assuming Arkansas doesn’t choke it this weekend

If LSU doesnt win it, I hope Arkansas does. They have great baseball fans that love the sport.

Seems like it’s Arkansas’ year, until DVH gets in his own way

LSU doesn't have the horses this year. Arkansas does but can they overcome being Arkansas?

No, Arkansas still has to deal with the Van Horn incessant choke job.

LSU...maybe

So 2018, the closest Arkansas has come to winning it all, was a "choke job" by DVH? No, it was the arrogance and "look at me" of Carson Shaddy, along with right fielder Eric Cole failing to call Shaddy off the foul pop fly. Was Cole's ball all the way.

Shaddy had pulled a bonehead play earlier in the game and coupled with being a hometown boy, he was going to "atone" for his boneheadedness AND be the hometown hero and catch the final out. He just ended up in the way.

Only way LSU will win in Omaha is to stay in the winners bracket
They aren't equipped in the bullpen to survive a run like LSU did in 23

We said this in 2023 as well but then guys like Auck stepped up to bridge gaps. All it takes is Mayers or Shores to find it for 5-6 innings and history is made.

No but it did add major pressure to future Arkansas teams to finally do it.

Sure they do. They have arguably the best 1-2 starting pitchers in the country this year. If they get to Omaha, anyone who has been paying attention can easily see LSU getting to the title series if Anderson and Eyanson take care of business and stay in the winners bracket.

LSU has the talent to do it, but we need guys to stop trying to hit a homerun every at bat, i.e., Jones, Milam. We need to start hitting line drives and finding grass.

Pitching is really a mystery after Anderson, Eyanson, and Evans. We need someone to step up. Just like 2023

this is a classic "im more critical of my team than other teams due to familiarity"

this is true for every school out there. It was also seemingly true for '23. Guys just stepped up. And whoever wins it all this season will be ill-equipped and have guys step up.

I hate having to play TN. But if we do win I want LSU at Omaha too. Makes the triip more fun.

We know you quit on the '23 team before it even got to Omaha, but let me educate you.

The current LSU bullpen has been A LOT better than the '23 bullpen was during the regular season.
