Or, was it just his agent playing into fears?

Regardless, LSU is either directly or indirectly responsible for A&M being saddled to that colossal buyout.

We went after him hard but he was leveraging us to get a raise.

Your AD Woodward, the same guy who brought Jimbo to TAM and gave him the crazy contract, wanted Jimbo to follow him to LSU. How would that have gone over in Baton Rouge?

Yes we were. Jimbo is an lsu guy. He had already been here and his wife (at the time) enjoyed it and his son that had a chronic illness was getting good treatment. He followed the money and got PAIDDD at TAMU. But he lost his wife in the process and walked away with a bag.

We were and then Bobby Jindal got involved at the end of 2015 and said the optics would be bad and F King Alexander the biggest pussy ever wouldn't allow Joe Alleva to pull the trigger and make the change

Yes in that Woody did go after Fisher, and no as in he already had his extension signed before the LSU job was open.

Alleva went hard after Jimbo to replace Miles. Woodward never went after Jimbo when replacing Orgeron

I believe Jimbo would have won a championship at LSU.

Different situation.

You think Jimbo’s playbook at LSU would have led to a National Championship?

Idk about that. It was pretty archaic, and he refused to give up play calling.

Colossal buyout

Jimbo is the sixth highest paid college football coach in America courtesy of the Aggies and he’s being paid not to coach college football.

Yeah, but you guys are doubling down on the Jimbo winning a NC at LSU hypothetical. Congrats?

That’s not a knock to A&M like you perceive it to be.

It’s not a “knock” against Tamu.

It’s a matter of existence.

The sun rises in the east.

It sets in the west.

Tamu is an also ran.

the Bear couldn’t even win one with y’all.

In 2015 when there was talk of firing Miles, yes I think they were and if Les had been fired I think he comes to LSU.

The second go round, no I think that was bullshite.
