Mizzou....

Texas and Oklahoma might have more baseball tournament wins in 1 season.

3 of Tennessee tournament titles were in the strange few years were the tournament was divided between East and West.

We’re only 2 wins away from Mizzou.

And we’ve never played a game in this tourney in our history

Update. OU is now only 1 behind Mizzou in all time SEC tourney wins after beating Kentucky 5-1 today. We can tie them Wed.

The win was our first ever SEC tourney game.

Our shite performance in the SECT, regardless of anything else, is something to be hold. I believe we had more CWS wins under Tanner than SECT wins.

Because we never cared about the SECT in those years, and rightfully so.

Skip held out our ace today assuming we could win and it worked. Kyson will likely pitch vs GA on Wed - he won on the road bs them this season.

The below stat shows how good our closers have been. Our only problem is silent bats too many games not building a late lead.

“OU now moves to 29-1 on the year when leading after 6 innings”

Also to mention from OP stats. LSU very impressive to have that many more wins than next closest team. And SECT too. Thats consistency over a long period of time

I mean you can win conference tournaments and win/do well in ncaa tournaments. It never had to be either/or.

Some teams were good enough to win regular season, conference tournament, CWS.

I mean, to SPC's point - Tanner was well-known for giving 0 shits about the SECT. I get emphasizing the NCAA tournament. But I do think we had teams that could've done both and I personally disliked Tanner's complete de-emphasis of the SECT. But it was also hard to argue some of the results we got in the NCAAT.

SEC Tournament all time wins

Wait, is that All-Time or just since the first conference expansion in 1990?

How can Ark have more tourney wins than SC, Georgia and UK?

No doubt that LSU and MSU got the jump on college baseball in the SEC.

Tournament didn't start until the late 70's and at the time, only 4 of the 10 teams got in. 3 of those 4 were almost always LSU, MSU, and UF. This expanded to 8 when Arky (and SC btw) were added in 1992.
