I don’t know and don’t care. I’m just glad he isn’t coming back to Alabama

Yeah , he beat UGA twice, but lost to Vanderbilt and gifted a bad OU 2 touchdowns and 0 for his own team

The NFL and their no it alls do some crazy shite.

But they also made Hurts into a legit NFL Star so who knows. Proud for Hurts kid and family are winners.

If they pick him late first round, it's not as crazy as picking ARich 1.03.

He was better than Richardson.

And Hurts was way better than either of them.

No shot he goes first round. There aren't enough teams that need quarterbacks who will take a flyer pick on a guy who can't throw a football into the ocean

Hurts improved his last year at Alabama with Dan Enos, continued to improve with Riley, then continued to improve in the NFL. He was always better at reading defenses and qb things than Milroe. Hurts just lacked the confidence in his passing game, which did need work and took some time. Comparing Milroe to Hurts isn’t fair to Hurts imo

He has been invited to the draft. The NFL doesn't like it when guys sit there like Brady Quinn and not get drafted. McShay says they don't invite nearly as many as they used to and the ones they do invite almost always get drafted these days.

IOW, they would not have invited him if they didn't feel he has a good shot of being drafted. Word is that Pittsburgh is interested and some other team may trade up from the second to get him late in the first.

The only team I can see taking him in the first round is the Steelers and IMO, that is a reach. The guy is just too much of a project to use a first round pick on. But I guess all it takes is one sucker.

Trades can happen. Cleveland could easily move from their spot in the second to late first. NYG could as well. Many people believe that Sanders won't be taken over Hunter or Carter or other guys just because he's the second or third best QB. Dart is always showing up as a mid to late first rounder, so doubtful they would take him. If they don't take a QB, the Browns or Giants might make a move to get a QB.

Pittsburg would make sense, seeing as they're getting Derrek Carr, could have him sit a year under him and see if he can't be developed, but still, I don't know if that's a first-round pick, maybe a second or third.

Unless he's playing LSU or Georgia every week it would be a huge mistake.

It's called a smoke screen Todd. GMs and scouts want other teams to think they're going to take Milroe in the 1st. If you draft this kid in the top 10 picks and he busts out you're as good as fired. He isn't Matt Jones and will get pushed around by LBs and DBs in the NFL. He can be a switchblade option to bring in on 3rd and short or a red zone option due to this ability to run the draw. That's about it. There's 15 year old kids that are more polished and have better mechanics than JM.

He accepted an invite to the NFL Draft, so someone must be feeling confident he’s off the board day one.

I wish him the best, but I am awfully glad Bama isn’t wasting another talented roster trying to gameplan around our own QB.

Pitt may draft him and sit him behind Rodgers if they sign him. I can't see Rodgers playing this year for anyone else.

This could also mean the League feels Dart will go before Pitt is there. They also may know a team with a late first rounder that has a QB already that wants to develop him and have him sit several years.

Rams?
Detroit?

The NFL is not inviting him if they don't feel there is a good chance he goes. Todd didn't invite him. The NFL (no team) did. The NFL had a team take A. Richardson at 1.03 and he couldn't beat out Emory Jones when neither had started a meaningful game.

No, probably late 2nd or 3rd

But I'm glad he's gone.

Anthony Richardson was the 4th overall draft pick in 2023 draft. Milroe has had significant more playing experience in college, and is more talented than Richardson, so why anyone thinks Milroe won’t go in the 1st round is beyond me. Of course he goes in the 1st round.

All it takes is 1 NFL owner or GM to fall in love with his speed, and athleticism and he’ll be selected far sooner than most think.
