During the 2nd half of the Alabama @ LSU game back in November

… 99% of you were watching a worthless blowout while bama routed LSU 42-13.
Meanwhile the Auburn folks were watching Auburn basketball battle it out against Houston in Houston. Auburn won 74-69 in an absolute classic.
I told my wife that night I felt like both teams were good enough to make it to the Final Four. That was Houston’s last and only loss of the season during regulation.
Hoping the Gators can pull this one out. Either way, this Houston team is the real deal. As is obviously Florida.
I know people want to think this year’s Duke team is one of the best all time, but this is one of the few seasons where I think the 2 best teams are actually playing for the title. Go Gators.

We've played Houston 3 of the last 4 years. All 3 have been fantastic basketball games. Wish we could keep doing it every year moving forward.

Yes. Another bullet point that shows the state of Alabama is becoming a basketball juggernaut… half of Houston’s losses were to Auburn or Alabama.

November is football season. March is basketball season. The Bible says so.
ETA: But the OP is correct, there were some great early season out of conference basketball games. Auburn versus Houston, Iowa State, North Carolina, Duke and Purdue. Alabama against Purdue, North Carolina, Houston, Illinois, Oregon and Creighton. And that was just the two Alabama schools.

I watched every second of Alabama/LSU and pretty sure I watched the entire 2nd half of Houston/Auburn.

Is there a particular reason you chose to dump on LSU with your OP?

I can’t help that you were the opponent on the end of the beatdown. I was rooting for you in the first half, but at halftime, I was glad to have a better game to watch.
