Player’s wanted to be paid openly and make college football a professional sport.

What a shitty way to handle such a situation. All you have to do is give him a spot on the roster and say publicly he is welcome etc. Then you show loyalty.
Then when it comes to NIL, the boosters don't give him much. He'll either take another/better offer from someone else and transfer on his own, or he just ends up taking a roster spot while not taking much NIL. Most likely he'd get a better NIL offer combined with playing time and transfer.
In the end, LSU looks good and loyal to it's players either way without losing anything. Surely at worse a guy that's been there for 6 years, 4 under BK is at least some kind of leader off the field.
Instead, BK comes out and just says - bye and shows 0 loyalty to a guy that's been there for 6 years, and he doesn't need too.

In the portal era, schools should owe no more loyalty to players than the players show, which is near zero in most cases.
Dude hasn't been able to stay on field and BK is well within decent treatment to tell him that you need to find somebody else to pay you.

Emery hasn't reached out to LSU at all, his announcement was the first they've heard of him even pursuing another year of eligibility.
He obviously is looking elsewhere and LSU is set roster numbers wise.
Don't let the truth get in the way of a long reach troll attempt though.
