Oklahoma (of course) leads the way. SEC has top five teams in the country, crazy.
D1 ranking
1. Oklahoma
2. Texas
3. Florida
4. Texas A&M
5. LSU
8. Tennessee
10. Arkansas, South Carolina
14. Georgia
17. Auburn

What happened to Alabama? They used to be good

Weird cutoff at 20 considering it is a Top 25 poll and there are 3 more in 21-25
21. Alabama
22. Mississippi State
25. Ole Miss

Seemed like a perfect cutoff to me.

I was at the DH last Sunday. Beautiful day. Lots of fun seeing A&M-Tech battle it out. I am turning into a softball fan.

It's a great sport to watch in person. The best female sport by far IMHO. Of course I spend 12 hours every Saturday watching kids play it so I might be biased

8 of the top 10 just isnt fair. biggest problem is the league scheduling. whoever amongst those 8 that has the least amount of games against the rest probly wins the league.

Alyson Habetz left the program. She was the best coach on the staff

I remember a time not too long ago when Bama and OU were both the two best teams in the country - that went on for quite a while.

Yep - OU adapted, Bama did not. Still a really good program (been to 4 of the last 5 WCWS), but just another of the 20ish really good programs while OU is the program. It's a little frustrating that this year's team is probably their best all around offensive team since before COVID, but for the first time in seemingly a decade plus they don't have a dominant pitcher.

SEC Softball is arguably more competitive than baseball..
Warren Nolan predicts the SEC will hold the Top 6 RPI slots at season end.

Like the baseball link posted earlier this week, these projections sometimes move a lot from 1 day to the next.. but they are interesting to look at..

Damn that looks fun.
I encourage anybody to make it to a softball regional if you can. It’s a booze fest.

So what you are saying is that there is no NIL money for Bama softball?
