Each SEC School’s Sports Priority List

What do you think your school’s top 5 priority list is when it comes to sports? What sports get the nod when admins and collectives have to decide where they put their money and resources? In other words, which sports are most important at each school? For example, it appears the following schools prioritize things as:
Alabama: Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Softball, Baseball
Auburn: Men’s Basketball, Football, Softball, Gymnastics, Baseball
LSU: Football, Baseball, Women’s Basketball, Gymnastics, Men’s Basketball
Kentucky: Men’s Basketball, Football, Baseball, Softball, Gymnastics
How do you think your school prioritizes each sport? As a fan, how would you like them to prioritize them?
As an Alabama alum, I wish the school would prioritize baseball third.

Well if you're talking admins the only school I would say that legitimately doesn't prioritize football is Kentucky, and even then it's closer than you might think.
Football is generally where the money is.
There's probably only a few schools where there is even a somewhat close 2nd to football.

Football is first for Auburn. We're just taking what we can get with Basketball and being very happy about it

Pretty accurate ranking of them right now... but you gotta put softball ahead of MBB for a true list.

Nobody gives a rip about women's basketball here. Gymnastics or softball is a clear #3. Baseball sadly is #5

I was torn with Auburn. No doubt all-time Auburn has prioritized football over basketball.
But currently, Auburn is paying their basketball coach $5.7 million while paying their football coach $6.5 million. Bruce Pearl is one of the ten highest paid college basketball coaches in the country.
At most schools the football coach makes 2-3 times more than the basketball coach. Even at Kentucky, who I think most feel is a basketball school, their basketball coach is making $5.5 million and their football coach is making $9 million. When Calipari was there he was still paid less than Stoops (it was cliose, $8.5 million versus $9 million). Coaches salaries is why I gave the nod to basketball at Auburn at the moment.

I think if you gave the option of a football national championship and a basketball national championship, a lot of Auburn people would chose football.
Basketball is our best shot right now so we arent trying to mess that up by not paying Pearl what hes worth.

Most fans certainly do not. I don’t. But the administration has spent a lot of time, effort and money on women’s basketball the last 5 years to turn them into something not resembling a door mat. It has worked, they have made the NCAA tournament 3 of the last 4 years. They are currently ranked in the top 20. As I fan, I wish they had put some/most of that money towards baseball. I would much prefer I get post season baseball vs. post season women’s basketball. I think it is a good example of an athletic administrations priorities being different than an individual fan’s priorities.
I can’t say they are wrong though. The ratings and money some of these women’s basketball games have drawn the last few years is nuts. Women’s basketball certainly seems to be growing in popularity faster than college baseball.

Wut? Women's basketball is barely a top 3 women's sport. This isn't my personal list as I'd have baseball #3 but I feel pretty confident this is the aggregate list at Alabama
1. Football
2. Men's Basketball
3. Softball
4. Baseball
5. Gymnastics
6. Women's Basketball
Softball outdraws women's basketball 2 to 1. Gymnastics outdraws it (with less events) 10 to 1.

Well it seems like Arkansas admin prioritizes basketball first, then football, then baseball

only thing certain about UGA is that we pretty obviously prioritize football first. But after a couple of decades of largely penny pinching our whole athletic department, we’re finally starting to make good hires and build out facilities in non-football. So it’s hard to say what’s next in line in priority after football when virtually everything is getting some much needed attention and money right now (baseball just got an expansion, basketball is at least making an effort in NIL and Stegeman got a refurb, track and field is building a brand new complex, softball got an expansion, tennis just got a complete indoor/outdoor overhaul, Gymnastics hired Simone Biles coach, volleyball and soccer spent money to make good coaching hires).
Only sport that hasn’t really gotten some direct love is Golf but there may be a less direct play going on there as our PGA/LIV contingent is currently building a private links course outside Athens that will serve as the golf teams second home.

Women's Basketball? It's AT BEST the 6th or 7th most important sport to Alabama fans. It's goes more like.....
1) Football
2) Men's Basketball
3) Softball
T4) Women's Gymnastics
T4) Baseball
T6) Women's Basketball
T6) Men's Golf
If Women's Basketball at Alabama continues to improve at the rate it currently is it will slowly creep up and with continued success especially NCAA tourney success it could eventually close the gap with softball, women's gymnastics, and baseball
Same with Baseball. If the baseball program manages to dramatically improve it will eventually creep it's way to a close 3rd place behind men's basketball.
Football and Men's Basketball are and have been far and away the two most important sports traditionally to Alabama fans for as long as I can remember
