He carried us in that first half. So glad to see him have success the way that he has.

I was going to give Chad his props after being pretty hard on him lately and then he went full Chad.

He’s a stud - physically dominant with some moves and some touch.

Bruce praised Chaney several times last season and said more than once that he was going to be an important piece for us this season. He was right.

I am starting to think this Bruce Pearl guy might actually be a good coach who knows what players might work out in the system and bring us some success…

Sorry this is just a self own. Earlier in the season I was whining about Nate Oats being good or better than Bruce or some shite like that…

He is a streaky dude. Will be a fricking force of will have problems. Slowly starting to come into his own after showing many flashes. If he gets consistent, we are going far.

The dude has some three point ability and touch in his fingertips on some high arching mid range shots. Totally didnt see either coming.

Double figures each of the last 4 games.. averaging 15 on 69% from the field and 43% from 3.

He has bowed up and carried us in 2 games this year and has honestly been more consistent than Broome and Cardwell if you look at the whole season.

Johnson was once again a big reason why we won tonight.

In the midst of all the bricked 3s and layups and shots clanging off the rim, Chaney was focused, calm and just did his thing. Never celebrating his points or hanging his head, just even keel performance. He’s a baller.

He probably accumulated the most fouls in the second half, but by God he had an arching mid range shot that took us off the skids too.

Weren't a large portion good fouls... forcing breakaways and easy layups to be made the hard way?

He had like 3 just from being a little out of position defending on an island but I think it only ended up leading to 2 free throws
