Allow only season-ticket holders to attend the next home game(s).

1 game for football
3 games for basketball

Boo. Hit them below the belt. Limit off campus recruiting visits after the first offense and any subsequent then limit on campus visit. Also fine them and let the away team profit.

Only bad thing about that idea was how long it took the get the wet dog smell out of the stadium.

I remember that...

I really can't recall when a visiting teams fans stormed the field after a win like the UGA fans did in Auburn in 1986

Why stop it? Let the kids enjoy the moment.

None of these have any effect on the fans. You must punish the fans or else it can't be stopped. You cannot "physically" keep people off the fields or else the schools would have already done it. You have to make the fans not "want" to be on the field after the game.

You left off the part where they turned the hoses on visiting fans in the stands

All this whining about storming the field and the court is ridiculous. It's anal. Let the fans have fun. If you're worried about the goalposts, buy some retractable ones and bring them down when the game ends. That's the most likely place someone could get hurt--climbing them, etc.

Fining schools for storming is a buncha Nazi BS.

It’s seems it’s only the self proclaimed “elite,” …the Alabamas, LSU, etc..that have a problem with the home fans storming the field after they lose to an inferior team.

Isn’t there an article on the front page of ESPN saying Vandy legalized field storming? I stopped skimming it when it spoke about Vandy prepping the court so they can storm it if they beat Auburn.

They are going to ruin it for everyone.

That incident happened because the students couldn't access the field.

Also, it didn't effect the visiting team's safety, which is the comment I was replying to.
