Included in the renovation will be a new clubhouse, a new weight room, indoor batting cages, a players' lounge, an analytics/pitching lab and additional covered practice areas.
This is very much needed for Blue Bell. While the park looks nice, it was behind the times compared to the top dogs of the SEC. Now we should jump to near the front.

It's good to see another SEC school continuing in the college baseball arms race.
Georgia is supposed to have a new pitching lab, hitting tunnels, and coaches’ offices this season as part of a $45M upgrade that began two years ago.
You see what Arizona State is up to?

Much needed. Yall have a great setting - keeping developing.
This is kind of a phase 1 too. Phase 2 will focus more on fan stuff and making the ballpark bigger.

I have not and nothing popped up after a very quick google search.

Does it include a bullpen for midgets?

I heard that LSU got a design patent on the midget bullpen.

Same for us. Supposedly Phase 2 will include bleacher setting in left field and a build out of the 1B line and right field (Kudzu Hill). We won’t ever get as big in capacity as other SEC schools due to the limited footprint of the neighborhood where Foley sits but we could certainly be the Wrigley/Fenway of the conference if they continue to maximize the space we have.

I’ll never downvote 28.3. Sadly.

Agree.
Here is one opinion of the pecking order.

In no world should Olsen be that low. A&M is top half in attendance, atmosphere, facilities, sightlines, etc. however you want to split it up. If we factor in everything, I’d be hard-pressed to put it outside the top 6. Edit: Top 7.

I’d put Blue Bell at 7, honestly. No problem with the top 6, though personal preference would put Founders over the Box.
Lindsey Nelson and Foley are both going to move up that list over the next 5 years with their expansions. My main knock on Lindsey Nelson is how piece meal the design is and it seems like that will get cleaned up over these next few expansions.
I really do like both Plainsman and Sewell Thomas as just really nice, cleanly designed parks with great sight lines and I know Plainsman is adding some green monster seating which will be really cool and unique. Just speaks to the growth of other programs that I think those parks get bypassed in the coming years through absolutely no fault of their own.

Yeah, I'm going to say not a lot of thought was put into that list. Maybe player facilities are a big factor, but, just to take one example, Florida's ballpark and Kentucky's ballpark (both of which I have visited, and both like) are pretty similar in age, size, and configuration, with the major difference being that UK has a turf playing surface. Yet, this guy has one at 6 and the other at 14. WTF?
Again, unless there is some big player facilities consideration going on, there's no way the Box is ahead of Founder's Park. Not even close. Any rational person would have Hawkins Field as 15.

Seems like y'all do one every other year.

Baseball? Not a lot the last decade.
Everywhere else? A ton. We have excellent facilities & stadiums/fields/etc. almost across the board.

Texas A&M is probably the only university in Division 1 that has one of the highest athletic budgets yet manages to massively underperform in all three men’s sports. Absolute fraud of a program.
