Is it just me or are bracketologists criminally underrating Missouri?

Right now looking at BracketMatrix
1 seeds: Auburn, Alabama
2 seeds: Florida, Tennessee
3 seed: Kentucky
4 seeds: Texas A&M, Mississippi State
5 seed: Ole Miss
7 seed: Missouri
9 seed: Vanderbilt
10 seeds: Oklahoma, Georgia
11 seed: Texas
So 13 in. Can’t be unhappy about that but I don’t see Mizzou being below the 5 line right now in spite of the consensus. Everyone else feels about right.

MU is at its best when underrated. I would like them to stay off the 5/12 line personally.

I personally don’t mind the 5-12 line given the year we made the FF run we were a 5. Mind you we were the only 5 to escape the opening weekend and it took a 30 win NMSU missing FTs, but still lol.

You’re still early enough in the season where a lot of the bracket sites aren’t updating daily. Check back again Tuesday or Wednesday. For example, there’s no way State is a 4 seed anymore. They’re sub 30 in NET and KenPom now.

Gold afternoon sir. I was wondering about this statement.
Of the last 8 tournament appearances for missouri, one time missouri made the elite 8 and that was as a 3 seed. The other 7 times missouri was a 10, 11, 2, 9, 8, 9, and 7 with 5 of those missouri clubs not making the second round.
If anything, this evidence seems to dictate the only time when missouri did well in a tournament was as a high rated seed. missouri did have a run to the elite 8 as a 12 seed in 2002, but I can’t find further evidence to support your statement. missouri has made it to the second weekend 3 times since the fall of the Soviet Union (with one being vacated)
If you could further clarify your statement with examples, I would be most appreciative. I’m just a little confused!

I think there's an expectation, right or wrong, that the bottom will fall out from under Mizzou sooner or later.

They're up to 21 in the NET rankings. That should be good for a 6 seed at least. Have moved ahead of Ole Miss and State.
And there are 10 SEC regular season games left to play. Still lots to prove. Tennessee on the road and aTm at home up next. Have to be ready to play for every single game, though.
