Probably has to do with the fact that the six SEC teams that currently have a below .500 conference record (Texas, OU, Georgia, LSU, Arkansas, and South Carolina) have a combined 9-31 record so far in conference play...
...However, those six teams currently at the bottom of the SEC standings went a combined 68-10 against out of conference opponents this season...
