Sears needs to get his shiit together. Plays completely out of control at times and goes cold. Sears already should have been benched earlier this year when he had another game like this. It was about time Oats sent a message.

Why couldn't you have offered a mid-season trade in football? I would have given you your choice from the basketball team along with Milroe and a kidney for any player who could at least see a wide open receiver.

Sears is a top 5-7 player in the country and a top 3 player in the conference, you couldn’t be more wrong. What a terrible take.

He's not going to throw anyone under the bus, but anyone can see Sears has not lived up to his concensus all-american expectations. He has more big-time cbb experience than virtually any other player in the country & really should score at will at this point in his career, yet all his numbers are down from last season. Now he has two 5* guys pushing him for PT.
Honestly, I wish Deboer had shown the balls that Oats has shown benching his veteran PG who isn't playing at the level he should be.

He should be, but hasn't played that way so far. He was awful in the 1st half tonight. Oats won't say what Rick Barnes did, but Sears is getting paid alot of money & we're not getting our return on that money.

Coach Oats said at the start of the season that his biggest issue is getting minutes for his players. This is the most talented team we've ever had imho. So, if a player is having an off night why not bench him? Give some other highly talented player a chance to shine.
