Very resilient bunch. Never say die attitude. Definitely gave up a big play or 15 here and there, but they also seemed to make a big play of their own when it mattered most. Respect!

John Rhys gave us nightmares. They kept calling pretend pass plays then he would take off running while our DBs ran away from him with their backs turned.

What a weird thread

95 Nebraska would beat them

Gave up some meaningless points in blowout games for sure

I have no problem saying 2019 LSU had the best offense ever.
Best team? Its not a slam dunk like LSU fans think.

That defense at the end of the season would’ve skull fricked the Suckeyes. Lol

They also were dealing with injuries towards end of season and got healthy with the break before playoffs

FWIW, everyone makes a big deal about the 38 points in that Vanderbilt game but the defense was only responsible for 24 of those points.
Vandy's defense returned a fumble for a touchdown when it was 38-10.
It was 45-17 at halftime and then LSU started playing a lot of backups as the defensive unit dealt with a lot of injuries during the beginning and middle of the season.
Later, Myles Brennan threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown with like a minute left.

That Ole Miss game drove me nuts. That damn Plumlee looked like Milroe that night. Couldn’t get him down. Good thing the offense scored at will.
Fortunately LSU D started getting healthy by getting Queen and Stevens back for late-season run. Ask A&M, Ark, UGA and OU.

Some uneducated fans overlook the fact that LSU probably faced the toughest slate of opposing quarterbacks in NCAA history as well.

41 to bama? 38 to vandy? 38 to texas? 37 to ole miss? You give up a 40 burger to 4 teams you can't be consider as one of the best.
