Check out the Auburn fans showing up to Columbia yesterday.

LINK

This comes a few weeks after we had 15-20% of the crowd at Cameron Indoor… so many that it forced the Duke AD to write season ticket holders a scathing letter about selling tickets online.

Over the past several years, Auburn has amassed a very loyal basketball traveling fan base. Never would have imagined this before Pearl.

I know someone who travelled up there for that game because it was much cheaper than going to a home game.

The Carolinas aren’t that far from Auburn’s home in Georgia.

Yeah I have family in Atlanta and they’ve made the trip to both Columbia and Athens the last two times Auburn has played there… way cheaper tickets than a home game.

That is a big part of it.

No surprise, most tractors have that type of range these days.

I guess Mizzou doesn't have any tractors since you guys don't have much fan support at away games in any sport.

If you are a fan in Columbia, Augusta, Charleston, Greenville, Asheville, or Charlotte, going to the USC game is an easy trip. Big arena with lists of ticket availability.

I checked into going to a home game. SRO was $100-200 per ticket.

Yesterday I bet you could get 4 tickets for close to that price.

Pearl has built Auburn into a basketball powerhouse.

Also nod to Kentucky fans who have been doing this for 50 years.

I just left from working for a month in Columbia before Christmas. Never have I seen the amount of pan handlers on every corner and parking lot.
Hope I never go back there.

This was pretty crazy. AU bball road support has been pretty insane for the last seven years or so.

I remember watching them when Pitino was at Louisville and every time they played at the Yum Center, it was almost all Blue behind Louisville’s bench. Pitino got heated and called fans out in a press conference

You’ll be abused for this post because this board is a joke, but that is impressive….Auburn and Alabama basketball may be the two healthiest programs in the nation. When you consider SEC basketball history, that is a shocking statement.

It’s just a lot of wear on snow tires to get all the way down there.

Football is so bad that bball is now the priority. Auburn doesn't travel well in football anymore and I understand that

Wrong, Saban was good in his ERA, but his era past.

True. He was one play away from playing for another NC.
