The narrative is that OSU had all the talent but Texas made it closer with superior coaching.

Superior coaching that
- Had 1st and Goal at the 1 and turned it into 7 points for the other team, following a disastrous mind boggling sweep call

- Gave up a 75yd TD with 30 seconds left to go in the half

He did for 2 1/2 quarters though, that’s undeniable

Day almost coached himself out of the game. Just abandoned their run game to put it all on Howard.

There's not a whole lot of difference in these rosters. This game should've been close with a slight edge to OSU.

Don't think either was getting outcoached. Sark nutted up at the goal line at the end.

I’m not so sure about that. If you want to say he kept them in the game and he is the head coach - fine, but their defense kept them in that game. Sark is an offensive coach. They never had the lead. Did Texas exceed expectations - certainly, but sark should have put Archie in on 1st and goal at the one.

Ya not sure I’d say this. I think Ohio State had a better team, and there were moments I questioned the coaching on both sides. But it was a close game that flipped on a couple plays.

I don’t necessarily disagree but it was more like Sark fricked up way harder than Day rather than some master class in coaching by Day.

It was a slugfest on both sides, not really the type of game that will look like a coaching masterclass.

Best coaching performances of the CFP were Day vs Oregon, and Dillingham vs Texas.
