That was hard to watch yesterday!

In 2023 after the ADay game...a lot of folks was excited for Jalen Milroe to be the quarterback. My feedback after the scrimmage was...

-He stares down receivers
-He's inaccurate
-He doesn't work through progressions
-He doesn't have good mechanics

-Also we will never be able to run a full offense with him at quarterback.

Yesterday, brought back everything I was concerned about.

To all the fans and former players BLAMING everyone but Jalen Milroe...I advise you all to go back and look at multiple GAMES this past season. The second half of the Georgia game, Tennessee game, Oklahoma game, Vandy game, and the Michigan game....we have TOO MANY WIDE OPEN RECEIVERS that he missed getting the ball too.

What more do you want the OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR to do??

Jalen Milroe isn't good at zone reads. He's not accurate enough to do quick slants! He's a RUNNING BACK playing quarterback!

Elite speed but he doesn't have a high IQ to be a quarterback nor does he have the skills to be one.

Bill O'Brien told you, Tommy Rees couldn't run a FULL offense with him, and despite how many times Nick Sheridan schemed people wide TF open...that wasn't enough!!

Hold Jalen Milroe Accountable...that crap was TERRIBLE yesterday!

I hold DeBoer ultimately responsible. He didn’t have the courage to try something new yesterday. He should have brought Simpson in for a couple series to see if he could spark something on offense. If he didn’t succeed, Milroe sitting on the bench might have settled him right down. DeBoer could have brought Milroe back in at that time. Honestly, though, I don’t see how Simpson could have played as bad as Milroe. DeBoer didn’t have much to lose to try something new…but, he didn’t have the intestinal fortitude to do it.

Yea, that's dead weight to me. Tell them to bring up Texas & Michigan (2023) lol

By the way LSU was TRASH and that Auburn game was WON on a MIRACLE!

Jalen Milroe has been an ANCHOR on offense the past two years.

Nah, the blame is at Jalen Milroe's feet.

He was a HEISMAN candidate last season. I'm glad he didn't bench him. Now, he can move on to the NFL, make a position change, or hit the transfer portal.

The same could be said for last season as well...I wonder did you blame Coach Saban for that?

That whole argument assumes that there was no way we do any of that with a different QB and only Milroe could have led us to those victories. He is technically correct that Milroe is responsible for 4th and 31 though, considering his stunning lack of spatial awareness is what made it necessary to begin with.

I understand defending the kid from personal attacks. I don't buy all the palace coup nonsense and he seems like a good enough person. He's a terrible QB though. There's just no defending him from an on-field performance perspective. He's probably the worst QB to ever get 20+ starts for this program.

Exactly what I have said.

They won't tolerate the truth though and need some conspiracy.

They kept betting on the highs and we always got the lows after Georgia.

It's easier to hate someone if you think he's just an objectively terrible person like Happy Ending, Roethlisberger, or Rodgers. I have no idea why a huge number of people on this board can't be satisfied with just thinking Milroe is a mediocre football player who benefitted from circumstances that made benching him difficult.

I don't get it either.

My guess is they need to build him up to be our only issue because they can't actually comprehend what is going on.

If we don't fix that OT issue (we have already addressed WR thank God) then Ty, Mack or the freshman are going to struggle as well.

The O Line needs to be fixed as they didn't help the situation. I think the play calling was fine for the most part, stale at other times.

However, #4's inability to read a defense, slide his protection, hit a hot route is his biggest flaw. The guy never through his receivers open. They had to be open for him to throw it. Watching Boise St qb last night, he even through his guys open. Hit slants, outs, middle of the field routes, and the ball was thrown before they were open. Not saying the guy was great, but he did things #4 can't do. Why? Because he can't read the D before the snap and during the play to know where to go. He predetermined his wr for the most part and waits for him to be open. If Milroe would just check down a lot more he would be so much more effective. He doesn't do that much either. He did it at LSU, and he obliterated them with his feet because they had to adjust. However, that's one of the rare times he checked down consistently.

Lastly, and this is where I personally lost all respect for #4 as a player, he studder stepped to try and trip the OK player who just intercepted his pass and was headed for a td. #4 had the angle and speed and should have been an easy shove out of bounds. Don't know what could happen if he does that. However, #4 slowed, studdered his steps, and tried to trip him. That play epitomizes his tenure here at the University of Alabama.

I’m being honest will not be shocked at all if 3 or 4 years from now we see a story about Milroe throwing games for $$$

Most of us already dislike him as our QB.
If true.....That he was throwing some of these big games, he'll then go down as the most hated player in Alabama history.

Man you got some coconuts showing up here making statements about "they cant comprehend." lol

It took two years to convince you Milroe wasn't going to win the Heisman, and was actually killing us on offense.

You were in the front row of the LANK support group cheering and shouting down anyone that had anything negative to say about milroe. YOU were one of the people that literally could not comprehend how bad Milroe was.

I don’t know how it happened, but Milroe was a worse passer this season than he was in 2023. I’m not sure if the changes in the offense made him less comfortable or what, but he was a better QB in 2023.

That's a big accusation, but it has happened in the past in sports, and will happen again one day so it's not impossible. I know this; If a player were throwing a game Milroes performance yesterday is what it would look like.

The offensive skill players were literally laughing at his passes, and trying to stay calm while looking over at Mr Potato head to see if he was interested in making a QB change/interested in winning the game.
