They may upset someone, but their blue chip ratio is not high enough to win the whole thing.

Conference champions should no longer be getting automatic bids. I know this has been said, but it perplexes me that some feel that they deserve to be in it.

Teams like that are exactly why the playoffs expanded to 12 rather than 8.

No issues with conference champs getting in, but it shouldn't be a requirement for a top 4 seed / first round bye.

Boise looked like a better team than Oregon.

And Texas better be ready to get physical and tackle or they’ll get trucked by Skattebo.

Maybe not Boise, but Clemson and Arizona State were legit contenders, they just ran into a buzz saw. They’d have been title game contenders in the other side of the bracket

Then what’s the point of having conferences if conference championships don’t matter? Why do you think the NFL still has guaranteed playoff spots for division winners?

I actually went to Arizona State's last loss in Nippert (University of Cincinnati's stadium). Don't worry it was a buckeye bye week. How that team made the CFB playoff is just insane to me.

I guess teams have their off days but UC was awful this year. I think Texas rolls them.

There’s no way to determine who’s legit and who’s not without settling it on the field. There’s no point in having conferences anymore if we don’t reward the champions.

Also, it’s laughable when your team is 8-5, and you say shite like this. LSU and A&M have nothing to brag about this year.

Typical agtard. They cannot win a conference title so it is not important.

Poor draggie is now realizing Trans A&M sucks at football.

I mean I agree which is why I didnt want to expand the playoffs. Under the current format as shite as it is they absolutely belong in the playoffs

Gold from 8&5.

While it may be debatable (it's really not) whether or not BSU and ASU belong in the playoffs, what's not debatable is the fact 8&5 hasn't sniffed the playoffs and, like Ole Miss, never even won the Western Division of the SEC. Now with Texas in the conference 8&5 is relegated even further to little bro status.

If you must do 12 teams the best 4 teams should get the bye. No matter what conference or how many from each conference. Then reseed when the second round starts.

This is probably the most obvious adjustment.

But wait until Notre Dame pushes out a more deserving conference champion based on the opinion of committee members who will be heavily influenced by the backdoor antics of ESPN, TBS or whichever media group sees ratings $$$$$ to be made.

When several coaches say that they don't entirely understand what the committee is looking for, just default to $$$$$.

And the media will then broadcast at least three Texas playoff games.

Ohio State in at least two playoff games.

Notre Dame in at least two playoff games.

When you put those teams in the first round, their fans are going to tune in. If they end up in a later round, many fans will not bother to watch Arizona State play Indiana or SMU play Boise State.

Again... this seeding arrangement has more to do with $$$$ than the better teams getting a bye.
