The players need to be paid by performance. They play well, they get paid well. They decide to sit, play sick, or whatever, they don't get paid well. Its the only way you can get performance out of someone like that. If they get paid ahead of time, whats the motivation? They obviously have no team pride or business ethics. They are all about themselves and getting paid.

I’m surprised he doesn’t just head over to Red Robin and watch the rest of this game, or maybe another game. F@&k yall teammates.

Yeah but how does that NIL negotiation go?
Team A pays for performance
Team B gives you the cash up front to come to that school
It'll never happen

In some cases, the cash up front is coming Junior year in high school.

College football is not taken seriously by the athletes anymore. It's viewed as a temporary minor league stop over so quitting on your team or the season is seen as no big thing to them.
Unless NFL teams start holding them accountable for this by lowering their draft stock, there is no downside to them for quitting.

That’s what surprises me about y’all. Some of you are way more emotionally invested than the players lol.

He's projected as a top 10 NFL draft pick.
I'm shocked he played at all.
He has his entire future, millions of dollars, at risk if he gets injured.

You realize a lot of players got these same perks before NIL.

Statpadding would destroy the sport in a players final season of eligibility. Also players at lower tier schools would literally fight each other and blame coaches for not getting touches

Then don’t play at all. Tell your teammates frick off before the game starts.

Make them sign contracts and include bowl game in contract. It will happen, just waiting on the courts to decide House vs NCAA.
