And I want to hear from only a Texas fan perspective, not interested in other fan base opinions.

This is a tough one. It's close. Beating OU is better than beating the Ags but losing to the Ags is MUCH worse than losing to the sooners. It's more of a sibling rivalry with the Ags.
Most of our fans will tell you it's the sooners. I think it's the Ags.

The question is moot.
Neither program will ever matter again in college football. Both just humiliated the conference. All personal feelings aside, oklahoma and texas a and m need to be sent back to the big 12.

In terms of everyday adolescent brother vs. brother pissant sibling rivalry, it’s got to be a&m. I have aggy cousins who we would watch the Thanksgiving Longhorn / aggy games with, and lots of farmer aggy small South Texas town friends who headed to Texas a&m. We would all continually give each other Horn vs. aggy shite…
In terms of winning a game against a blue blood long time historic rival that would get our confidence up, we always felt great when we beat OU…

Oklahoma will bounce back. they always do. I'm old enough to remember the blake years.
They are just going through what we did with charlie strong. They hired the wrong coach.
The Ags will always have talent with that NIL money. I just think the SEC as a whole is down this season.

After January 20, it might be Georgia

Been in the middle of all of them my whole life with family from all 3 schools
Most people agree the atmosphere at the Texas OU game is unmatched and they have a lot of respect for each other because they are both blue bloods.
Aggie is like the annoying little brother that thinks he belongs at the big boy table despite never winning anything since 1939.
Not to mention more times than not the red river game has national implications

I just want to play them with anyone but quinn leading the offense. Hopefully Arch can do a better job next year.
Who knows what either team will look like next season. NIL and all.

Texas has shown it knows how to lose.... 5-7 2021, That was not exactly SEC material at the time. Stop with the foolishness.

Beating aggy is liike beating up your little brother. Annoying little shite that needs to be reminded from time to time who big brother is.
Beating OU is like fighting hard against the rred headed bully down the street. This fight is serious.
OU is the rival, aggy is a once a year punking.

Some of our fans have short memories. Oklahoma dominated us in the Big 12 and that wasn't very long ago.

By now, everyone should realize that the hush-hush bag drop game is kaput. Paying players in the open as a legitimate business is the game today. Oklahoma and some others are doomed.

It’s Oklahoma. We changed conferences together to not interrupt our rivalry.

I'm saying OU....that rivalry never stopped with conference movement.

One of our rivals is a blue blood and the other is aggy. So very different. Texas and OU (from a Texas perspective) is about football. Sort of a mid season playoff with the loser taking a backseat and needing some help while the winner takes a massive step forward towards its goals.
The Texas-Texas A&M rivalry (from the Texas perspective) is about silencing the yapping. Losing that game is an embarrassment so you can’t get caught up in the sideshow stuff around the rivalry and you have to stay focused on your larger season goals. It’s an exercise in not getting distracted by their fanaticism and “burning desire”. Less about football.
In the end both are huge rivalries with a lot of bad blood. I favor the OU rivalry but it’s not absurd or invalid to prefer the rivalry with A&M.

The age old question.
We have to accept its equally both. And Arkansas is a distant third.
