The following coaches likely will either get an extension or get fired after next season:

Hugh Freeze
Billy Napier

Probably Brian Kelly, although he probably has built enough equity that he might be able to survive a mediocre year a bit longer

But I think Napier and freeze are either going to break through and make the playoffs or get fired. Not seeing an in between opportunity for either.

ETA: Mark Stoops is also at the crossroads

James Franklin was the biggest winner out of the whole deal.

He would've been around the top of all the off-season hot seat lists, but now he is Knute fricking Rockne.

Not sure there's a make option for Pittman but I suspect it's his last year.

Norvell has to have a big bounce back season. I don't think he can survive anything less than 9 regular season wins.

That could open a spot at FSU for somebody like Lane Kiffin.

Another 4+ loss season and his seat will definitely get hot in a hurry.

Losing 3 in a row down the stretch ain't gonna fly for long.

If nothing else, I think LSU would try to strongarm him into renegotiating his contract. His buyout is big but patience is going to be short in the era of the portal and NIL. He seems to have got the message but remains to be seen how it plays out on the field of play.

if he has another disaster he’ll be done but 7-8 wins would be enough

FSU doesn’t have that much money

Napier closed the year strong as hell while having the whole fanbase and administration on his arse. Not sarcastic, if he doesn't keep his job its a knee-jerk reaction on Florida's part. They're recruiting well and played sound on both sides of the ball since october

get hot absolutely

But depending on other factors probably not get fired over it. Not in 2025 at least. Unless he does something like frick a shark or make up fake death threats.

Jeff Lebby at State?

If he fires another 2-10?

a lot of it depends on if he hires an OC

It’s beginning to be a talking point for even his biggest slurpers in the UF fan base

If he refuses to fire himself as OC and we lose 5 or more games again, that could be it for him

Don’t see him really elevating the program to a playoff or near playoff level, but he might win just enough games to keep his job another year

Not sure how badly Arkansas admin wants to replace him but I do see him being on the hottest seat going into next season

Yeah another 2 win season they might move on

But he could win 5 games and be fine, and that’s not really a “make” type of season

No. he is there for 3 years minimum. He would have to go 3 wins or less the next 2 seasons in order to get fired

he’ll be fine next year but another season like 2024 he might be on the list in 2026

99 % Untouchable.

Sam Pittman is a hot seat guy too. But 70% untouchable. Freeze needs to win 7-8 games. Billy same. Venables hot seat if they win less than 7.

Elko, Drink, Lea, Kelly, DeBoer, Lane, Lebby, Sark, Beamer, Kirby, Heupel safe.

Mark Stoops absolutely is. How did you nor put him on your list OP. It's do or die in 2025 for this staff.

AKA "they can't afford his buyout."

Kentucky problem is they live or die on whatever transfer portal qb they bring. Before vandergriff the last 2 were solid as hell. I don't remember the last qb that started for kentucky that they actually recruited and landed. It's not impossible but it's certainly challenging

I'm not sure Stoops isn't a dead man walking. Timing and who was thought to be available this cycle may have bought him a year more than anything else.
