That’s fishy, I recall Brian Kelly was paid an extra $1M he never paid back. And now the $1M he’s giving back is for NIL?

quote:

LSU paid Brian Kelly an extra $1 million by mistake in 2022, according to audit

An accounting error resulted in Brian Kelly getting an extra million bucks during his first year as LSU football coach

It’s called a restructured contract. He took a pay cut. Nothing more.

So he’s guaranteed $99M instead of $100M

you know this info is readily available to the public, right?

quote:

"LSU management and the head football coach have enacted an adjusted payment schedule so the amount of overpayment will be recouped by the conclusion of fiscal year 2023," legislative auditor Mike Waguespack wrote in his report, which was published Monday.

so they overpaid him $1mil in 2022 and underpaid him $1mil the following year to balance it out.

no, same total dollar amount.
he just got $11mil one year, then $9mil the next instead of $10 mil in each.

Would you like to discuss tax deductions for charitable contributions or would that go way over your head?

well he's subject to 3rd party state auditors and it's all public info.

if they wanted to hide it, it never would have been reported to begin with.

They always try to blame Accounting for misappropriating funds in that state all the time.
