I agree. Win by 50 and no one gives a shite. Lose and we won't live it down for years.

No different than what every other school in the country does. It’s only a big deal if we make it one. Though it being the first time ever is notable.

We are playing in state schools in a variety of sports. We had UAPB on the schedule as a sacrificial goat this year in football. I wouldn't be shocked to see Central Arkansas roll around before too long.
Its business. We can get in state schools to play cheap and the money stays in Arkansas. When you are a break even athletic department, which we've been stuck with for a while, cutting costs matters. Especially if you've got a fickle booster base that has become notorious for their tight purse strings.
My main regret is we will be stuck playing in Little Rock which means we won't make as much money as we could and we are likely to lose people to that craptacular turf monster they have there. If we lose a major starter we are pretty much fricked for the season.

Some of our fans make no sense
Are they out there basking in the quality losses against North Texas, Toledo, ULM, etc?
Those losses were so much fun...because at least we lost to an OUT OF STATE shite squad!!! Hell yeah!!
