Oregon's 2025 schedule...

This is their schedule..
Aug 30: Montana State, Autzen Stadium
Sept. 6: Oklahoma State, Autzen Stadium
Sept. 13: at Northwestern, Martin Stadium
Sept. 20: Oregon State, Autzen Stadium
Sept. 27: at Penn State, Beaver Stadium
Oct. 4: Bye week
Oct. 11: Indiana, Autzen Stadium
Oct. 18: at Rutgers, SHI Stadium
Oct. 25: Wisconsin, Autzen Stadium
Nov. 1: Bye week
Nov. 8: at Iowa, Kinnick Stadium
Nov. 15: Minnesota, Autzen Stadium
Nov. 22: USC, Autzen Stadium
Nov. 29: at Washington, Husky Stadium
So please tell me why the heck should we be scheduling OSU, FSU, etc... when the B1G through Penn State, Oregon and Indiana have instituationized this new system we see today???
We need to only book weak teams for OOC. The Purdues of the P4 world and should probably just stick with MAAC teams and FCS.
Schedule in a way where we can reduce the wear and tear of the SEC season using bye weeks and weak OOC games between or before big SEC matches, then force that sack of shite Sankey to not schedule Alabama, GA or Texas anymore in the regular season.
The SEC would walk in with 4 to 5 playoffs spots and the entire country can eat shite about it because they are fine with that type of scheduling and behavior as long as the B1G or ACC are participating in it.

I mean, it's not that terrible a schedule (compared to some others this year). A couple of borderline top 10 teams, 5 Top 30ish teams, 8 top 50ish teams. Then a conference title game against a playoff level team.
Per Sagarin this season
#8 Penn State
#11 Indiana
#25 Iowa
#26 USC
#31 Minnesota
#45 Washington
#46 Rutgers
#54 Wisconsin
#74 Oklahoma State
#93 Northwestern
#100 Oregon State
FCS Montana State
For comparison, this year per Sagarin
#5 Georgia
#9 Tennessee
#13 South Carolina
#17 LSU
#23 Missouri
#28 Oklahoma
#38 Auburn
#54 Wisconsin
#56 Vanderbilt
#86 South Florida
#112 Western Kentucky
FCS Mercer

That’s not an awful schedule. 2 P4 non conference games plus Oregon St.

Damn, one of those ooc opponents are 13-0 currently. My grandpa was Montana state alum, and i think it will be awesome to see the previous season fbs 1 seed open up vs the previous season fcs 1 seed. Could end up champion vs champion. I have nothing positive to say about the other 10 games not involving psu.

Hard to gauge any upcoming schedules these days considering a team can drop big money in the portal and boost their roster quickly. I don't expect this year's FSU to be anything close to what we get next season. Preseason rankings are going to be even less relevant.
SMU wouldn't be sniffing the cfp if they'd just played that Oregon record you posted...even though it's not a world beater with USC and Washington being down, at least this season.
I don't want to lose our big upcoming OOC games. What I do want is strength of schedule to actually be a major factor.
We need the BCS rankings back, not this committee shite and just take the top 12 teams it spits out.

Penn State is the only one that jumps out as a loss for SMU to me.

Bottom line, play an easy schedule, get in playoff. According to the committee. The week before SOS and all crap mattered. Bama has the name so 2 losses or less and we are in every single year.

Sec signs a 10yr contract with espn to basically cover all sec games and what do they do?! All they’re so called expert analysts just trashes Bama pumps up SMU to keep Bama out and that’s what happened
Why sign with a network that fricks the conference over like they did. Fire Greg Sankey sry arse for starters

Beat Vandy or OU it does not matter.
I fail to understand why everyone keeps blaming everyone else.

If Bama’s going to play a P4 non-conference team, it should be a bottom-end Big 12 team every year.

Because sucky football sucks, that's why.
I personally don't give a shite who Oregon schedules. I don't pull for Oregon, I pull for Alabama and I care about who they schedule and wether or not they're scheduling a shitty product.
College football is now straight up professional football and has long been a multi-billion dollar industry. We get 12 regular season games a year, and as it stands now 4 of them are typically garbage. Well that shite just won't do. Not only should Alabama continue to schedule challenging teams but as far as I'm concerned, every single game should be SEC or BIG 10, or at the very least a power 4 program.
There were 3 Alabama games this year that when they came on, I flipped the channel and watched a different team play better football. I don't watch that Mercer or WKU shite, it's not worth my time and it's a fricking ripoff. Those games get watched a few days later on you-tube or whatever.
Alot of folks are getting filthy rich off Alabama football but still delivering a shite product. The answer is more and better, not less and worse.
Just sit with this for a moment. A twelve game regular season that generates about 130 million dollars in revenue, and up to four games aren't even worth watching. That's frickin' pathetic.
Demand more.

All that matters is avoiding losses

Why is this man catching strays?

Is he not the one presiding over the conference which officiating has been a significantly detrimental to us with certain teams?
Is he not the one presiding over the conference which gave Texas an easy schedule but gave UGA and Alabama hard ones? He allowed 4 bye weeks against us and set us up with Oklahoma getting a bye week before us a game before the Iron Bowl.
Is he not the inept one who got screwed over and outplayed by the B1G, leading to our underrepresentation in the playoffs and the B1G teams being award most home games and the best positions?
Seriously frick that guy

Vandy and OU are 10 win teams in the ACC.
So stop this stupid shite

Not blaming but making a point. There’s no excuse for Vandy and Ok they just got beat. But it was pretty obvious what espn was doing, the wk before it was Bama for SOS and quality wins.
That all change the following wk because SMU came back and “Almost” won the game. That espn crew made a complete arse of their self justifying SMU

The worst part about that farce ACC CG is SMU didn't come back, Dabo just went conservative in hopes to not embarrass them and give them a way in.
It almost backfired on him.
Oh and BTW frick Dabo.

I wasn’t going to go there, but yes it wouldn’t surprise me one bit. Acc most definitely could have done that, especially still having the red arse from last yr.

Another thing about our 2025 schedule is how 4 SEC opponents get bye weeks before us and Georgia.
It's absolutely bullshite.
You make us play the tougher schedules, we have a brutal OOC and you screw us even further by allowing UGA, LSU, Mizz and Oklahoma to have bye weeks before us.
Every bye week we have our opponents have one. We literally have no advantage and after this season Byrne needs to muster as much support he can to threat that sack of shite Sankey so we never have the cards stacked against us like this again while Texas has a free run.
Dumb arse devalued his own league and people wonder why some of us can't stand Sankey
