I'm really hating this portal

Kendrick Law entering the portal.
It's hard to build any allegiance to the team when 30 of them change every year.
Jersey and merch sales have to be tanking... Which oddly enough, is why NIL came about.

I'm about done. Between the portal, and the bullshite 12 team playoff, buying players, and the goat retiring, i find that I just don't really care. I'm mildly interested to see what happens when Deboer has a QB, but I'm done planning Saturdays around football. Honestly, if I hadn't been waiting 35 years for this Bama basketball team, I'd probably just make a clean break from all sports.

It's not just Bama..it's everyone. Big part of why Saban retired. It's sucks and it doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon. This could be easily fixed with contracts and nil cap. That would level the field as far as $$$ goes. It would go back to where kids would choose to play for a coach who they believe could develop them. Other schools would have to buy out the remaining contract if they wanted the player. That alone would fix so much.

Umm, This was expected. It was mutual agreement between coaches and players.

There were people wearing Milroe jerseys at my church the morning after the Iron Bowl.
Colleges and all other sports leagues pro and amateur for that matter are not in the least bit interested in whether old school fans buy jerseys and merch. They want people 18 to 49 buying their stuff, that’s the magic age.

Been trending that way the past handful of years for myself. If I want to watch mercenaries I’ll find an NFL team to cheer for.
