That's the message. Not strength of schedule..we didn't lose to a good team. We lost to ou and Vandy. That's the reason. Plain and simple.

How about you did a little deeper and find out why those two teams are 6-6. That might help you some.

And we looked shitty doing it. The ou game was one of the worst prepared and played game by a Bama team that I remember.

It's both. Yes we shouldn't have lost to average teams. But the committee also just outright stated who you beat doesn't matter. A win against UGA is no more valuable than a win against Duke.

Doesn't matter. That's the resume. Poor performance cost us. Not the committee

He won't do that..lol. Never mind he's directly responsible for 14 of OU's points.

A few things (not saying decision of committee or the below is right or wrong in principle):
1) ooc games will go back to “gimmes”
2) sec will fight to adjust playoffs to eliminate chances of smaller schools getting in
3) heat got turned back up ok deboer. Deep playoff run required by year 3, IMO.

Don’t disagree but you have to think of the impact of playing an entire SEC schedule. You play several tough games in a row which wears on a team and makes it harder to get up for the inferior teams. Saban just said as much.

SMU beat nobody!

His arse better hope he survives next year. This was some Shula era coaching this year. Another 9-3 season and bye.

Those 6-6 teams had some of the toughest schedules in college football.

If they play SMU's schedule they go 11-2

I'd agree, but LSU and others that we beat had no problems with ou. We just weren't prepared and played horrible.

And we’ll never get anyone to take this damn job if we fire someone who’s 9-3.

No one disagrees but when you expand the playoffs to 12 teams, undeserving teams are going to make the playoffs and Alabama had a strong case over SMU. I do not understand why people can't grasp this concept.

They won’t have to for long. It will be expanded soon.
And then the argument will be for the 14 spot or the 16 spot

Goodbye tough OOC games. Welcome Troy, to Nick Saban field at Bryant Denny Stadium.

Sankey is on the clock now for getting this BS fixed. Too many pretenders in the CFP with no SOS. Like MLB inviting the best Triple A teams to the playoffs.

Interesting to see how DeBoer handles the QB starting with the bowl game. A much bigger melt than the playoff melt will be if Milroe gets a lower grade than expected and announces he’s coming back. Chicken could get richer and richerer if that happens.

Enjoyed Greg and Sean’s balanced commentary last night. They must split a room when they travel to save money.

If Milroe doesn't get the draft grade he wants and IF DeBoer doesn't tell him to look elsewhere 2 things will be abundantly clear. The first is that DeBoer doesn't understand all the intricacies of coaching in the SEC. The second is that he doesn't value his job.
