With this news.
Since strength of schedule doesn't matter.
Play 8 SEC games.
Play Mercer, UNA, Chattanooga, UT Martin out of conference.

We did and two of them were bottom feeders we could not beat. Not sure how your proposal changes anything.

Byrne has schedule multiple OOC games per year. Zero reason to do so now.

Or stop losing to bad teams and problem solved.

Georgia didn't get punished for losing to two good teams. SMU didn't get punished for losing to two teams with good records.

Sankey should get more blame than the committee.

He gave Alabama and UGA very tough schedules because he loves Texas.

The thing is we lost to not very good teams though.

Bama has gone all in on OOC SoS moving forward. Might be prudent to reconsider.

There keeps being this take about not penalizing teams for losing their conference championship game. If there's no penalty for losing, doesn't that make the game an exhibition?

You guys aren’t seeing the big picture. The committee has now said SOS isn’t a factor. Knowing that, then don’t increase your risk of adding to the loss column. So going forward, don’t try to do what we do in basketball which is have a quality SOS record in order to insulate yourself.

Byrne has doubled up on our OOC scheduling. That was a stupid move even before today.

Exactly. Although our ooc didn’t bite us this year, it could.
And every other program is thinking the same thing.

And UGA took care of what they need to do. We didn't.

Pull up those 6-6 teams schedules and look at who those 6 losses are. Only one is a shite loss. SoS has to matter. College football truly is a trash system now. The NFL is giddy, they finally killed their rival using ESPN and causal dumbass fans like yourself.

Coach Saban agrees with you and is making great arguments.

I agree.
BAMA didn't lose to an OOC team.

CAN'T WAIT to watch the smu game. It's gonna be SO GREAT for college football to see them get fricking destroyed in the 1st round.

It but is last year. Without that Texas loss, we are probably #1 and not sweating out Selection Sunday last year.

This year, according to the committee, Texas would have been left out and fsu would have made it.

If you don’t believe me, look at their final top 25

The problem with playing no one is you aren’t tested. I cannot wait to see Clemson and SMU get smoked week one. Hopefully that will at least allow the committee some ammo to never do this again.
