Will Demarcus Riddick ever experience a winning season in football?

He never did in high school and now he's at a college that just completed its fourth losing season in a row.
The freshman on next year's Auburn team will not even know what it is like to know a player who played on a winning team.
It strikes me that the odds are quite low that this young man will ever experience the glory of bowl eligibility at this rate, which honestly just hurts my heart to think about.
As much fun as it is to pound on Auburn for hiring a documented pedophile with a worse record than Bryan Harsin as their head coach, that honestly just seems unfair. I'm pulling for him! Everybody deserves to at least experience the Birmingham bowl at least once in their life! Do it for Demarcus, Barners!!!!

I think they can do it! Freeze just needs more time imo.

He was born a just a year too late to personally experience the precious memories of getting blown out by Maryland's 3rd string QB.

I had no idea that Auburn has had 4 losing seasons in a row. How is that possible?

Last year Brother Hugh was burdened by having to deal with all the logistics of a bowl game last year, hampering recruiting (even though he made it clear he did not do any actual coaching before the bowl).
This year he has successfully navigated his team to a place in which that will not be an issue. So in reality, win win! 6D chess!

Granted their record is front weighted by Harsin who was better than Freeze has been so we might see them fall behind if current trends hold.

Search committee hired the best candidate that submitted a resume on Monster.com
Hired a coach who hasn't changed his offense since he was a high school coach and Peyton (not Manning) Thorne.

And one thing I want to point out on a serious note, the OL is improving but it still isn't good. OL isn't exactly a position where you can have a US Army All American HS signee step in and immediately have an impact the way those talented players can impact the game at the skill positions as college freshmen and RS freshman.
There is a reason why the best OLs are heavy on upper classemen. 3-4 years of D1 strength and conditioning and nutrition isn't something that just happens.

hey man, i'm not alone in this. as i understand it, lots of us gumps have been feeling sympathy for this young man today....
why here is alabama's very own tyler booker wishing for some improved media training for this young man, i love to see this spirit of brotherhood in a rivalry. it's just sports at the end of the day.:

If tweet fails to load, click here. i agree with booker! let's all chip in and help poor Riddick get all the training he deserves this offseason. the holidays are all about giving back to the less fortunate! somebody fire up a gofundme!

Not as bad as hiring, you know, actual Harsin.

I’ve been reading your team board because it’s so entertaining. I have learned even other Auburn fans think you are clueless.

Oh man, jang's feud with chex over there is epic. Chex was supposed to meet jang at the State game last year, but evidently Chex pussied out.

Just to second this, I can't see any new wrinkles or tweaks to Hugh's offense in a decade. For example, that double pass for Hunter in the IB was his favorite at OM with Treadwell throwing deep.
It looks like a wholesale copy/paste of past game planning to focus solely on recruiting, which has paid off in signing HS talent. But, it doesn't always match his personnel or game situations. Nor, does it seem fair to the defensive side of the ball.
