We play the “well this player was out for our loss” for every team (SC especially) but Ole Miss. Go look at how we played against UGA. When we are on our game we can beat anyone. Doesn’t excuse the losses but pretending like we can’t line up with anyone is dumb.

The current BCS simulated rankings disagrees.


But, honestly, when one is arguing teams ranked 8 through 16 as more or less deserving than others, it's silly. The conference auto-bids are dumb. Just tweak the committee poll to be the human weight of the old BCS polls (throw out the others) and bring back the computers for the remaining weight of the polling.

Rank them 1-25 each week with greater transparency of algorithms and show human pollers vote sheets.

Take the final 12 regardless of conference championship or affiliation and set the field.

The expansion was about $$$, like all things in college athletics now. The committee will not admit it, but brand and big game matchups will be a screening criteria for the final poll.
